The moment Charlize Theron locked lips with a monkey… as the actress travels to Africa to meet Jane Goodall
Charlize Theron isn’t short of male admirers but it seems that this one might actually have a shot with the Hollywood actress, who managed to steal a kiss from the South African beauty.
He might not be her usual type but Charlize seemed to be smitten with the little monkey as she locked lips with the primate in the Republic of Congo.
The actress was back in her home continent of Africa to meet the legendary primatologist Dr Jane Goodall for a new U.S. TV series Iconoclasts.

The 35-year-old met the award-winning conservationist at the Jane Goodall Institute’s Tchimpounga sanctuary, where Dr Goodall, 76, and her staff rehabilitate orphaned chimpanzees rescued from illegal commercial hunting.
Theron was introduced to the juvenile chimps as she and Goodall discussed the issues that face Africa’s young people and its wildlife.
The Oscar-winning star opened up about the loss of her father she dealt with as a child, while Dr Goodall also described her experiences in her early twenties, when she travelled into the African forest and discovered how similar humans are to chimpanzees.
Charlize said: ‘The great things Dr Jane discovered by observing chimps in the wild came from emotion and their connection to emotion.

‘They can feel real things just like us and they can be affected and they can be shy and they can feel embarrassed and they can be sad and they can have all these human emotions.
‘As an actor I've always been an observer of people so I started realising that in a way we kind of do the same thing - she just does it with chimps and I do it with human chimps, the ones who have evolved from those chimps.’
The documentary follows a book about Goodall’s remarkable life, which has also just been released, titled: Jane Goodall, 50 Years at Gombe.

She started out as an English secretary in her 20s, fifty years ago in 1960, with no zoological training but her life soon changed when she landed on the shores of Lake Tanganyika in Africa to begin fieldwork.
Jane is now a dame and a UN ambassador of peace, and the anniversary of her study of chimpanzees is being celebrated around the globe, sparking the documentary being made and her book.
