'The chemistry between them is off the charts': The Voice's Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are enjoying a 'hot new romance'

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani became single at around the same time after divorcing their spouses.

Now the word on the set of The Voice is that the 39-year-old country singer and the 45-year-old rock goddess have set their caps for each other and taken their friendship into romance territory.

Blake and Gwen are said to be in the early stages of a blossoming romance and, despite their attempts to keep it 'on the down-low,' their flirtatious behavior at work has people 'buzzing,' according to Life & Style.

An insider told Life & Style: 'They're trying to keep it on the down-low, but it's not happening partly because they're all over each other.

'The chemistry between them is off the charts. Everyone on set sees that Blake and Gwen are falling for one another.'

They both just ended their respective marriages, and 'the pain they've endured' from rumours of their spouses cheating has provided Blake and Gwen something to commiserate over.

Blake filed for divorce from singer Miranda Lambert on July 20 after four years of marriage, after he reportedly received information that she had been unfaithful, TMZ reported. Miranda denied the accusation.

Gwen decided to end her 13-year marriage to Gavin Rossdale because she believed he had 'cheated' on her, according to TMZ.

A source told Life & Style: 'Now that they're both single, everything has changed. The whole set is buzzing.'

As it turns out, Blake was the one who initiated the romance with Gwen, whom he admires for her talent and business sense and for her warm, maternal ways towards sons Kingston, nine, Zuma, seven, and Apollo, 18 months.

Blake, who doesn't have any children with Lambert, has always yearned to be a dad.

'Gwen is a doting mom who comes with children,' a friend told the publication, adding: 'That is enticing to him.'

As Blake previously told CMT: '“I had no inkling what Gwen Stefani was gonna be like, at all. She’s the most sweet and, I mean, if I could be that normal, I’d be better off. I love her. I mean, I really do. I like working with her. We’ve had a ton of fun.'

Their PDA hasn't gone unnoticed among their coworkers - Blake calls her 'sweet,' Gwen raves about him being 'so freakin' funny,' according to Life & Style.

'When they're not together, Blake has been calling her, too,' the friend told Life & Style. 'He's even given her some small gifts. He sees Gwen as the ultimate woman, and she has been reveling in the attention.'

One might wonder about the dynamics between a country music star from Ada, Oklahoma and a rocker girl from Fullerton, California.

Yet the insider insists: 'Blake and Gwen have a lot more in common than either of them thought.'

One person who apparently isn't happy over the new match is Blake's ex, Miranda, who reportedly once thought of Gwen as a friend.

'She's heard about Gwen and Blake and she's really upset,' the friend told Life & Style.
