Despite persistent rumours of late that he is seeing Nicole Scherzinger, it seems that Ed Sheeran has found himself another lady.

The 24-year-old singer has been linked to his old school friend Cherry Seaborn, after spending time with her latesly, and it seems he was with her again over the Labor Day weekend in Las Vegas.

The Thinking Out Loud hitmaker appeared in a fun Instagram picture, shared by his pal Calvin Harris, along with Cherry.

The group were spending time at the Wet Republic club at the MGM Grand Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, where the Scottish DJ was performing a set on Monday.

Along with the photo, the boyfriend of Ed's best friend Taylor Swift joked: 'What a crew at Wet Republic today.'

The picture shows Ed wearing a backwards cap and sunglasses while enjoying a drink, right next to Cherry, also in shades and looking incredibly jovial, along with another pal, and Calvin on the right.

Although neither party has confirmed a relationship, a source told Us Weekly that they are 'officially dating'.

The image comes after the rumoured couple enjoyed a string of dates in New York City last week, enjoying one last night together on Wednesday before the award-winning singer-songwriter jetted off to his gig in Houston, Texas, the following day.

The duo were spotted getting some cash out of the bank before hitting up a nearby liquor store in the Big Apple as they made the most of their final hours together before Ed kicked off the North American leg of his 'X' world tour.

The school friends were dressed casually with The A Team hit-maker proudly wearing a slogan T-shirt, probably gifted to him the last time he went on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

The talented redhead looked serious as he delved into his jeans pocket in the bank before heading on to buy alcohol.

Cherry looked equally relaxed in a white camisole, lumberjack shirt and jeans.

She wore her hair in a naturally straight style and rounded off her casual look with a pendant necklace and stud earrings.

Their meet came after the pair were spotted enjoying a baseball game in Queens, where Ed had secured them both prime seats for the Philadelphia Phillies versus New York Mets game.

They have also been spotted leaving a New York hotel together on two occasions in the past few days.

According to the Daily Mirror, Ed and Cherry both attended Thomas Mills High School in Framlingham, Suffolk, but it's thought the pair only recently reconnected again, as Ed started following the pretty Brit on Twitter in the past few weeks.

Cherry currently lives in New York where she attended Duke University in the city after graduating from Durham University in the UK in 2013.

Alongside her studies, Cherry is a talented sportswoman, leading her hockey team to back-to-back British University championships in 2012 and 2013, while she was also selected for England’s under-21 national team and earned a bronze medal at the European Championships in 2012.

It's thought she is now working as an Advisory Consultant at Deloitte & Touche LLP in New York.

Ed's rumoured new romance comes weeks after he was romantically linked to his good friend Nicole Scherzinger.

However, speaking while co-hosting Capital London's Breakfast Show in July alongside Lisa Snowdon and Dave Berry, the Bloodstream hit-maker explained he hasn't had any romantic involvements since splitting from ex-girlfriend Athina Andrelos, 24, in March.

Moving forward: Back in July Ed assured fans that his love life was 'non-existent'

Probed on his love life by the cheeky twosome, Ed replied: 'It's actually non-existent at the moment. I'm not in anything.'

He continued: 'My relationship ended and then the day after it ended I was in the Middle East, Asia, South America, New Zealand – I was just gone and in my mind I had no time to settle with it. So I was just working, working, working…

'So yeah I'm still kind of in that space, I'm still in my working space. I haven't really had time to sit back and re-evaluate personal life, because I don't really have a personal life.'
