But Daisy Lowe swapped the 'big smoke' for Manhattan when she attended a party for New York Fashion Week on Wednesday evening.

The brunette beauty, 26, was a special guest at a dinner held by Roger Viver, where she cut a suitably stylish figure.

The catwalk star and party-girl cut a dash as she arrived at the bash, wearing a cream trouser suit for maximum impact.

Going for an obvious cutting-edge look, the trousers were cropped culottes and deftly showed off her ankle, which peered over the top of black stilettos.

She added a fitted jacket and bejeweled handbag, plus her trademark fringed hairstyle.

Laughing and joking at the bash, which formed part of the celebrations for NYFW, she was clearly having a good time.

There she was joined by celebrity friends, including Atlanta De Cadenet - daughter of Brokedown Palace actress Amanda.

The rising model opted for a very difficult look to her pal, choosing a black velvet gown with sheer sleeves and brown suede boots.

Also in attendance was perennial socialite and self-titled 'it' girl Alexa Chung.

Displaying a golden tan and lighter hair, which seemed to have been lightened into a blonder shade, she wore a sleeveless maxi--dress and patent leather shoes with a low heel.

For many, the blogger would have been momentarily unrecognisable.

They were also joined by Bruno Frisoni, Jeanne Damas, Brooke Shields and Justin O'Shea.

Clearly proud of her shape, Daisy once told The Guardian: 'I get labelled as curvy but I'm sure women who are size 14 or 16 find that infuriating. I'm only curvy compared to normal model size; I'm not teeny-weeny. Women are our own worst enemies when it comes to how we look.'

However, the brunette beauty - who has modelled for Rodial and American Eagle - is not afraid to strip naked for work because she loves to celebrate the female form.

She explained: 'I have done naked shoots, which means everyone thinks I'm a deviant, but I think the female form is something to be celebrated. I have to become a character to have the confidence to take my clothes off. If I was Daisy, I'd be an awkward nightmare.'
