'We are so in love': Proud new mother Fearne Cotton shares sweet first picture of one-day-old baby daughter Honey

Fearne Cotton has shared the first social media snap of her one-day-old baby daughter, Honey. 

The 34-year-old TV and radio presenter, who welcomed her second child with husband Jesse Wood into the world on Wednesday morning, took to Twitter on Thursday to upload a precious picture of her little girl. 

Sharing a sweet shot of newborn Honey's tiny hands, the new mother gushed with pride over the latest addition to the family.

Alongside the snap, she wrote: 'Thank you so much for all your lovely messages. We are so in love with little Honey.' (sic)  

Former Radio 1 Presenter Fearne and husband Jesse announced the birth of baby Honey Krissy on Wednesday mroning.

The ecstatic star couldn't wait to share the news with her fans on Twitter, taking to the social media site just hours after welcoming the tot into the world.

Announcement: The ecstatic star, 34, couldn't wait to share the news with her fans on Twitter, taking to the social media site just hours after welcoming the tot into the world

She wrote: 'Jesse and I are over the moon and buzzing with love, as our baby daughter Honey Krissy Wood came into the world this morning.'

The newborn is a younger sister to her son Rex, who was born in February 2013.

The tot appears to be named after Jesse's mother Krissy Findlay, who passed away in June 2005 

Fearne previously revealed that Jesse's two children from a previous relationship, as well as their two-year-old son Rex, were all eager to name the baby.

She said: 'My little boy Rex and his older brother and sister Arthur and Lola are so excited, they've all already come up with about a million names for the baby, and are really, really excited. 

'So in the Wood household we're all happy, and really, really good.'

After announcing her pregnancy in February, the blonde beauty revealed she would be leaving her BBC Radio 1 show in May after 10 years with the station.

She continued: 'It's been a huge decision and I'll miss being here so, so much. But I've been here 10 years, so it's time for a new chapter.

'I'm feeling very lucky, blessed, and slightly sick still, but aside from that I'm feeling really, really brilliant and really, really happy.

'I'm going to leave here, at Radio 1, with friends that I've made for life, bursting with the best memories ever. It's been such an amazing decade.'
