They were so over home hunting they settled on something more temporary - and looks like that decision may have come back to haunt them.

Beyonce and Jay Z may soon find themselves homeless in Los Angeles after their giant Holmby Hills mansion was sold.

While the stunning property is officially listed as having an offer pending, TMZ reports that its owners have accepted an offer for the currently listing price $35.5 million.

As part of this, the sale has a 60 day close, or in other words Jay Z and his Queen B have two months to get out.

While 60 days is a fairly sustainable close period for the LA market, the couple rented the property originally as they could not find a home to their liking.

So tough was their house hunt that they happily dropped $150,000 a month to stay there in February.

As Queen Bey, she's always on the precipice of fashion's cliff of being too out there and right on fleek. She reigned at the Met Gala with a barely there Givenchy sheer gown.

According to TMZ, the musical pair were offered a chance to outbid the new owners but declined.

The site had originally reported that the 34-year-old and rap icon husband had managed to knock the owner's monthly asking price down from $200,000 on the agreement that they would stay in the home long term, namely a minimum 12 months.

It has not even been a year but perhaps the sale is a blessing in a disguise for the couple and daughter Blue Ivy as now they can get out of the deal and find themselves a forever home.

Not cheap: The pair were paying $150,000 a month to live in the home and had a 12 month rental agreement

They may even find themselves something at a discount as this current property was originally listed at $48 million before Bey and Jay moved in - appears having musical superstars living in your home before you causes depreciation.

But Beyonce and Jay Z are not the only celebrities involved in this mansion's sale, the home was listed by Million Dollar Listing stars James Harris and David Parnes.

Kyle Richards from Beverly Hills Housewives' husband Mauricio Umansky also helped out on the sale along with non-reality TV famous but very successful broker Kurt Rappaport.
