Exotic beauty! Cara Santana exudes mystery in black and silver motif poncho dress at Tadashi Shoji show during NYFW

Cara Santana has made her presence known during the first few hours of New York Fashion Week.

The 31-year-old actress added some mystery in a figure-cloaking designer creation as she watched the Tadashi Shoji runway show on Thursday.

Cara wore a poncho dress that boasted a silvery motif design and a thigh-skimming black panel skirt, which showed off her toned and tanned legs to the tops of her black boots.

The Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3: Viva la Fiesta! star wore her silky dark hair pulled back in a glamorous updo.

Her features were brought out by carefully applied make-up from the dark eyeliner and shimmery shadows to the coral-pink lip shade.

Cara was joined at the show by actress Katrina Bowden, who looked dainty in a white lace short-sleeved frock and neutral heels.

Zelda Rae Williams, the daughter of the late actor Robin Williams, wowed in a navy-blue embroidered number.

The ladies sat in the VIP front row and probably drooled as the models swept passed them in stunning Japanese-inspired floral gowns, soft velvet numbers and billowy gowns.

As the designer told Wheretraveler.com, his inspiration comes from 'everyday women.

'Our core customer is late 20s to late 40s, very self-confident. Working women or, like a soccer mom, very busy raising kids. The kind of person who loves life.'

Cara, meanwhile, appeared to be without her long-term boyfriend Jesse Metcalfe.

The two did manage to get in some couple time at E!’s 2016 Spring NYFW Kick Off Party on Wednesday night where they were joined by Ashley Madekwe.

'70′s chicks! #nyfw @ The Bowery Hotel, Library Bar,' Jesse shared alongside a photo of the trio at the bash.

Looking good! Earlier in the day, Cara opted for a more causal ensemble, teaming her zany boots with barely-there denim hotpants and an oversized oatmeal-coloured jumper
