In the middle of a fire alarm, most people would panic and make sure to find the nearest available exit.

But Taylor Swift opted to share the moment when it happened ahead of her show at the Minute Maid Stadium in Houston, Texas on Wednesday night on her Instagram and Twitter pages.

The 25-year-old pop superstar posted a video, showing herself close-up to the face and looking decidedly panicked.

Along with the video, she wrote: 'A fire alarm is going off in the stadium and we don't know what to do.'

The Bad Blood hitmaker was in the midst of preparing for the latest show on her epic 1989 world tour when the alarm bells rang in the huge arena, while she was backstage.

A man's voice telling everyone to vacate the premises could be heard in the background of Taylor's video clip, which showed her eyes tearful and full of worry, underneath her heavy stage make-up.

'Put some clothes on!' Taylor's mother could be heard in the background, telling her daughter to dress herself in case they had to leave the stadium

Off camera, but nearby, the singer's mother could be heard telling her to get some clothes on, in the event they'd have to leave the stadium.

'I would put some clothes on darling...I'm not joking,' Andrea Swift told her.

'Put some clothes on! Put some damn clothes on!' she went on, as her daughter failed to spring into action, instead still filming her face.

Taylor, sporting her trademark scarlet red lipstick, was seen answering back: 'I have clothes on, I have a robe on. This is clothes, I'm covered.'

Properly attired? She retorted that she was wearing a robe, while appearing too frozen with fear to get up and leave

Jokes! Later on, Taylor posted an update about the fire alarm

A short while later, she returned to Twitter to keep her concerned fans up-to-date with the situation.

'Update: No fire. Still in my robe. #1989TourHouston,' she wrote, somewhat jokingly.

However, it seems that all was well and that it was just a false alarm, as the singer managed to make her way to the stage to complete the show in her typical dazzling fashion.

And she strode onto the stage at the Texas venue, showing off her stunning figure in an array of Taylor-esque outfits, while also being joined on the night by Wiz Khalifa.

The rapper was the latest in a long line of famous faces to hit the stage with Taylor on her current world tour, following in the footsteps of the likes of Julia Roberts, Lisa Kudrow, Selena Gomez, Ellen DeGeneres, Kobe Bryant and Matt Le Blanc, among many others.

Bringing the Taylor Gang rapper, 28, out to perform his chart topping hit, See You Again, the singer did well to prove that her connections throughout the entertainment industry are strong.

Standing side by side, Taylor and Wiz - real name Cameron Jibril Thomaz - stunned the crowd as they rocked out while the stage was lit with pyrotechnics.
