Jennifer Lawrence Googles ugly pics of herself, finds media scrutiny stressful and is writing a movie with BFF Amy Schumer

As she prepares to say goodbye to Katniss Everdeen with the release of the final Hunger Games movie, Jennifer Lawrence has revealed how she's changed since the first played the part in 2011.

Back then she was already an Academy Award nominee for Winter's Bone but a novice when it came to the inner workings of Hollywood and fame.

'You try being 22, having a period and staying away from Google. I once Googled ‘Jennifer Lawrence Ugly,' she laughingly told a New York Times interviewer. 'Do I sound bitchy?'

The Hunger Games franchise catapulted her to worldwide stardom, made her just about the hottest thing in Tinseltown and substantially boosted her personal bank account.

It also brought immense pressure and plenty of attention, both wanted and unwanted.

'I picture myself drowning. Outwardly, I look like I’m having a blast, and I am, at least on some levels. There I was — burp, burp, burp — just a little gal from Kentucky getting discovered by big ol’ Hollywood. But inside I’m terrified,' she said in the interview.

So how does she deal now with anxiety?

'I have a prescription,' she replies without skipping a beat.

She continued: 'I find a certain peace by thinking of me in public as sort of an avatar self. You out there can have the avatar me. I can keep me.'

'And I just try to acknowledge that this scrutiny is stressful, and that anyone would find it stressful. So I’ve got to try to let it go, and try to be myself, and focus on important things, like picking up dog poop.'

Her more laissez-faire attitude is a result of finding herself 'calmer' and 'more in control.'

She's also enjoying a raucous new friendship with comedian Amy Schumer.

The pair were recently invited up on stage at a Billy Joel concert in New York where they stood barefoot on the HIS piano and danced along to the music.

'I emailed her after I saw Trainwreck and said: ‘I don’t know where to get started. I guess I should just say it: I’m in love with you.’ We started emailing, and then emailing turned to texting,' JLAW said to explain how they met.

The two are now writing a movie together in which they play sisters.

She said the story just flowed out and they've already written 100 pages of screenplay.

'Amy and I were creatively made for each other. We have different flavors. It’s been the most fun experience of my life. We start the day off on the phone, laughing. And then we send each other pages. And we crack up,' she said.

Jennifer also revealed that she was gobsmacked when Kris Jenner showed up at a surprise 25th birthday party thrown for her by some friends last month.

Kris posted a photo of the two of them lying on a bed together on her Instagram account which then went viral.

'So I’m there, and people start singing Happy Birthday,' Jennifer explained. 'Kris Jenner comes out holding my cake. It was the closest I’ve ever come to losing consciousness.'

'I had no idea! I’d never met her before, but we’ve always watched Keeping Up With the Kardashians. And then Kris Jenner and I sang “Build Me Up Buttercup” on karaoke and took that picture.'
