Lace it up with Jessica's Altuzarra pencil skirt

Sometimes there's nothing more glamorous than an all-black figure hugging outfit, and when you've got a svelte figure like Jessica Simpson it's a no brainer.

Attending a Macy's Fashion's Front Row event in New York, Jessica opted for a sexy smart look consisting of a fitted pencil skirt and silk blouse, complete with chic black stilettos. It's that skirt that caught our attention though, as it's no ordinary pencil skirt. Featuring a corset style lace up detail on the sides, it's ultra glamorous and shot straight to the top of our wish list in an instant.

We've tracked this beauty down and it's from designer brand Alturazza and available to buy at Matches Fashion so if you're looking for a smart skirt with a bit of edge, this is the one for you. It does come with a hefty designer price tag however and if that's a little over your budget then why not try a few of the look-a-like versions below.

We can't find better than the Lavish Alice style and at only $97 it's an easy way to channel the trend. Alternatively try Charlotte Russe, Nanette Lepore and ASOS.

The singer-turned-mogul was celebrating the 10th anniversary of her fashion line, making the rounds of morning television shows.

Host of Closing Bell, Kelly Evans, asked Jessica to name some of her biggest financial mistakes.

'The biggest money mistakes? I don't know,' the Employee Of The Month actress said. 'For some reason I thought of my first marriage!'

'That's actually a common answer, believe it or not,' Kelly shot back humorously.

Jessica's first marriage was to Lachey, 41, from 2002 to 2006.

The former couple became national sweethearts with their MTV reality series Newlyweds: Nick And Jessica.

Lachey is now married to Vanessa Minnillo, who he wed in 2011. And Jessica is now married to Eric Johnson, who she married in 2014.
