Bindi Irwin represented the animal kingdom on Thursday while rehearsing with pro partner Derek Hough in Los Angeles.

The 17-year-old daughter of Steve Irwin wore a grey T-shirt with a koala print and black leggings to prepare for the upcoming season premiere of Dancing With The Stars.

Bindi and her mother Terri, 51, also handed out copies of conservation-focused Crikey! magazine as they left the rehearsal studio.

The quarterly magazine of the Australia Zoo features animal profiles, wildlife photos and exclusive articles by Terri, Bindi and 76-year-old conservationist Bob Irwin, who is the father of late The Crocodile Hunter star Steve Irwin.

Bindi's father Steve died aged 44 in 2006 after being pierced in the chest by a stingray while filming an underwater documentary.

She has been partnered with 30-year-old Derek for the upcoming 21st season of Dancing With The Stars that will premiere on Monday.

Derek kept it casual in a white and green tank-top, blue jeans and backward grey cap as he arrived for rehearsal.

The fan favourite and five-time DWTS champion stopped to take a selfie with an admirer.

Paula Deen, 68, also put in her rehearsal time as she arrived in a blue tunic, white trousers and dark flats.

The celebrity chef has been paired with 43-year-old pro dancer Louis Van Amstel and they goofed around with Paula holding his leg up in the parking lot.

Andy Grammer, 31, was also spotted putting his time in as he arrived wearing a sky blue T-shirt, black sweatpants and red Nike trainers.

The Los Angeles singer has been partnered with 27-year-old pro dancer Allison Holker who rocked blue skinny jeans to rehearsal.
