Bindi certainly looked ready to shimmy away on the dance floor in her bright pink dance outfit, but it was the snake wrapped around her neck and waist that was her dance partner for the night.

The brunette teen couldn’t help but giggle as she posed for pictures with the large snake before she went on to mess about for the cameras with dancing pros Mark Ballas, Vak Chmerkovskiy and Louis Amstel.

Bindi, who is the daughter of the late Steve Irwin, has been partnered with 30-year-old Derek for the upcoming 21st season of Dancing With The Stars that will premiere on Monday.

The dancer has previously credited the young wildlife enthusiast for reinvigorating his enthusiasm for the show.

'I love her. She's amazing,' the 31-year-old told People magazine. 'She's a breath of fresh air. We all need a little Bindi in our life. Seriously.'

'I'm in this space right now where I'm super pumped on life right now. I feel connected. I feel great. And then she walks in my life. You don't understand what positive energy she is.'

Bindi herself told People: 'This is going to be more terrifying than jumping on top of a crocodile. Crocodiles, they are very special because they are modern-day dinosaurs.

'But I've kind of worked with them my whole life, whereas I've never danced before in my life.'

The other stars set to join Bindi on the show include Chaka Khan, Kim Zolciak, Nick Carter, Paula Deen, Alexa Penavega, Andy Grammer, Hayese Grier, Victor Espinoza and Carlos Penavega.
