The '70s style number was covered in a ditsy print, with the midi-length showing off Jenna's strappy black heels.

The 29-year-old styled her brunette locks into a half up do, and kept her makeup simple with a touch of bronzer highlighting her flawless complexion.

Jenna joined her main man at the premiere, the Time Lord himself Peter Capaldi, who looked dapper in all-black as he greeted fans gathered outside the cinema in Cardiff, with the city the main filming location for the new series.

Filming for the ninth series of Doctor Who began in January with the latest installments hitting the BBC on Saturday, September 19.

Speaking to the BBC this week, Jenna explained that fans are in for even more shocks and cliff-hangers this series as 'a lot of the stories are very self-contained two-parters, it’s a lot more space bound and it’s all about adventures and time travelling.'

'The amazing benefit of doing them, is not only do you get more time to explore the story but also at the end of the first part you get to create a huge cliff hanger.'

'Clara and the Doctor are really united, they’re strong together and are just enjoying travelling and doing and seeing as much as possible. It’s very adrenaline fuelled and full of reckless adventure, with them throwing themselves head first in to it,' she explained.

The actress also joked about Clara's sense of style, after she was previously spotted on set for this series in a '50s waitress outfit.

'Practically with Doctor Who there are so many different looks, my idea for Clara is very much a school teacher who rides a motor cycle, in a retro 60s style but also sci-fi,' she laughed.

'The aim was to merge all those elements together for Clara’s look.'

Doctor Who returns with The Magician’s Apprentice on Saturday, 19 September.
