As her debut series on The X Factor captivates the UK audience, Rita Ora is doing everything in her power to make a lasting impression on the States.

The Body On Me singer put on a characteristically-leggy display as she was photographed arriving at her hotel in West Hollywood, California, in the late hours of Thursday evening - the night after she was spotted enjoying a cosy dinner date with Zayn Malik.

Rita, 24, made a poor attempt to go incognito by concealing her face behind a pair of oversized designer sunglasses and a leather stud-trimmed baker boy hat.

However, she was instantly recognisable in her statement choice of footwear.

Rita flashed a glimpse of her slender legs in her go-to pair of black thigh-high heeled boots which emphasised the true extent of her svelte figure.

Conscious about diverting attention away from her slim pins, she teamed the boots with a motif vest top and super-short denim shorts.

She carried a mini red leather handbag on her shoulder with a full face of make-up and fairly unstyled hair providing finishing touches.

If it isn't broken, don't fix it: Rita, 24, opted for her go-to uniform which only served to highlight her svelte frame as she made a confident entrance into the hotel, the evening after enjoying a top-secret dinner date with Zayn Malik

Rita's sighting comes hours after she snuck out on a top-secret date with Perrie Edwards' fiancé Zayn.

The pair - both currently single - were seen stepping out together for a dinner at Koi in West Hollywood, although trying to go as low profile as possible.

The 24-year-old British singer and the 22-year-old former One Direction star, who are represented by the same management, arrived in a car together before heading into the Japanese eatery.

However, a source from the restaurant told MailOnline: 'They were both at a dinner organised by a member of their management team. There was a group of artists and staff from Turn First at the get together.

'There is nothing going on between Rita and Zayn.'

Their appearance together came just a few days after Rita seemingly eschewed the idea of dating him.

During a fun chat on Capital FM, in which she would shout 'mash it up' at the mention of a potential celebrity date, she appeared to throw shade at the former boyband star.

Low-profile: The pair - who are now on the same management team - looked to be trying to hide their evening rendezvous although a source claimed 'there's nothing going on between them'

After being asked how she felt about the likes of Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus and her recent collaborator Chris Brown, she responded 'mash it up'.

But when asked about Zayn by the host, she went silent, not uttering a word for some time.

She eventually responded: 'Zayn, he's gorgeous, but, I just...'

The X Factor judge then added: 'That can't happen. We're on the same management team, too close to that. But no, he's great.'

Neither of the stars has made a mention of their evening rendezvous on their social media accounts.

Rita was wearing a backless glittering cami top and jeans, teamed with trainers and a red bag, her peroxide blonde locks clearly noticeable - her hair was exactly the same as the previous evening as she attended a Jeremy Scott party in Los Angeles.

MailOnline has contacted representatives for both Rita and Zayn and is awaiting comment.

Rita has been single since mid-July when she called time on her long-term romance with Ricky Hil, the son of designer Tommy Hilfiger.

Their break-up was confirmed to MailOnline at the time by a source close to the star, revealing it was because she wanted to focus on her career, namely her new job on The X Factor judging panel.

'He's gorgeous': A few days before their meeting, Rita admitted, during a radio interview, the former One Direction star had his positives, but that a romance between them 'can't happen'

Newly-single life: Zayn famously split from his fiancee Perrie Edwards at the end of July, and has been enjoying the bachelor lifestyle in LA

The source explained: 'Rita and Ricky have split for good this time. It is amicable between the two and they both made the decision to call it a day due to their work schedules.

'They've been on and off for a while. He's based in LA and she's based in London. Now that she's doing the X Factor and has her new album here, she will be here for the rest of the year.

'But he has commitments to his music career and fashion line overseas, too.'

Meanwhile, Zayn made headlines at the beginning of August when he dumped his fiancee Perrie Edwards after four years together.

This shock split came despite the fact he had sensationally quit One Direction in March saying he wanted to be a 'normal 22-year-old' and spend time with his wife-to-be.
