Last month, she was forced to cancel the second leg of The Charli And Jack Do America Tour, her US collaboration with Fun. singer, Jack Antonoff and his band Bleachers.

Speaking of the decision, Charli told MailOnline: '[Leaving the tour] was basically to write my record and I was feeling under pressure and not very well on tour.

'So I've been in the studio a lot, in Sweden, in London and in LA and I'm going to be writing in Brighton next week too and working which is good.'

The Charli And Jack Do America tour saw the collaboration travel the states, however Charli pulled out of the second leg, which ran throughout September, as she revealed that the touring was leaving her unhappy.

The stunning star sent a heart wrenching message to fans on Facebook, where she explained that she must abandon the tour to write her fourth album.

She wrote: 'As an artist I need to move quickly and write a lot to not feel restless. Sometimes touring really puts me in this isolated world where I feel down and sad but primarily I struggle to multitask and write songs at the same time which is what I need to do to feel OK.'

When asked if she was happier having left, she said: 'I'm always, generally pessimistic and grumpy but yeah I am feeling good.'

Charli was held back by an inability to sew however the singer is now overjoyed to see her ideas come to fruition.

She says: 'The clothes designing thing is a very new thing going on and that's very exciting because I always wanted to be a fashion designer when I was younger but I couldn't sew.

'So I would just staple bits of material together and it would look like terrible, it didn't even look punk it just looked terrible. So now that I'm working with some really talented people I can make my drawings reality, that's amazing and I'm so excited for people to see the Boohoo collection.

'[The collection] definitely is very me, some school girl looks but there's also some very sexy... lots of glitz, lots of sparkles, I'm very happy with it.'
