Sneak preview of Missoni's designer style at Target prices (so will you be bagging the babygro or the bicycle?)

As one of Italy's most popular designer exports, the Missoni collaboration with Target was always going to be popular.

Now first images from the 400-piece collection have finally surfaced - and it looks like there will be something for everyone.

From cosy knitted ponchos and shifts to colourful zig-zag striped wellies, the vast offering comprises clothing for women, men, children and babies.

Well knitted out: First pictures of the Missoni for Target collaboration show the Italian label's signature stripes on everything from hooded tops to handbags

But it doesn't end there. The new images reveal an extensive homewares line that will span from bed linen to tableware, as well as luggage and even a bicycle that is already a hot favourite with the fashion press.

The collection, which is Target's biggest designer collaboration to date, is set to launch on September 13 and prices will range from $2.99 to $599.99, though most items will retail for less than $40.

The kids are alright: The childrenswear includes cosy winter knits and colouful striped socks and wellies

Last week, the first ad for the budget range was published. The image features Margherita Missoni, dressed head-to-toe in her family firm's signature stripes.

The 28-year-old, who is the eldest granddaghter of the label's founders, poses alongside a male model, dressed in knitwear from the menswear offering, and both pull colourful luggage.

Completing the retro Italian feel of the image is another Missoni for Target-clad couple, posing in an old blue Fiat Cinquecento (that we wish was part of the line too).

The home front: A laptop cover boasts a floral motif, while cushions feature bold hues and imaginative textiles

Though Target has collaborated with labels such as Rodarte, Mulberry and Zac Posen, the Missoni project, which was first announced in May, is one of the retailer's most highly-anticipated ever.

Margherita's mother, Angela Missoni, is the creative force behind the family brand.

She said in a statement: 'Our collection for Target embodies Missoni's values of family, color and quality.

'It has been a fantastic experience translating our aesthetic into an affordable line, one we are eager to share with families across the United States.'

Kathee Tesija, Target's executive vice president of merchandising, was equally enthusiastic.

She said: 'The Missoni family has established one of the world's most creative brands, and together we've created a collection that will have guests lining up outside their local Target in anticipation.

'Our collection with Missoni offers more than 400 compelling products for every aspect of guests' busy lives, all at incredible prices, and provides Target with a unique point of differentiation for the fall season.'

Missoni, which was founded in 1953 by Angela's parents Ottavio (Tai) and Rosita Missoni, is famous for its unique knitwear and abstract florals, in a kaleidoscope palette.

Its past campaigns have boasted a host of stars, including Leighton Meester, Jasmine Guinness and model Jade Parfitt - but the newest ads, for this fall/winter, pay tribute to co-founder Ottavio (Tai) Missoni, who celebrates his 90th birthday this year.

Titled 'A Wonderful Life', the patriarch poses for top photographer Juergen Teller alongside ethereal-looking models against a Venetian backdrop.

The partnership with Target is not the first Missoni collaboration to be announced recently. The label has also put its stamp on a line of Havaianas flip-flops and espadrilles, and even a Bugaboo stroller, which has earned the seal of approval of celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe.

Missoni for Target will be available from September 13 until October 22 at all Target stores and
