She's known for her spontaneous splits and cartwheels.

And Betsey Johnson lived up to her amusing reputation on Friday, busting out her signature moves during her Spring 2016 New York Fashion Week presentation.

The 73-year-old fashion designer proved age is merely a number, appearing energetic as ever while showing off her strength and flexibility.

Still flexible! Betsey Johnson did her signature splits during Spring 2016 New York Fashion Week: The Shows at The Arc, Skylight at Moynihan Station in New York City on Friday

The bold blonde also displayed her eccentric sense of style by wearing a mix of loud pieces.

Betsey sported a sleeveless Patriotic blue blouse layered over a long black shirt and cropped black and white striped leggings.

She teamed those with a shiny blue long-sleeved shrug, a brown leather belt, and black sneakers.

Bold: The fashion icon was dressed in multiple colourful and funky pieces

Strong: The whimsical designer was also seen doing a cartwheel on the runway

The Connecticut native accessorised with colourful statement jewelllery, a bright pink ankle bracelet, silver top hat, and tie dye handbag.

Aside from putting on quite the performance, the well-established designer was gifted with a bunch of red roses, which she gladly grasped onto while walking the runway.

Roses are a big part of Betsey's brand and were included in her collection.

Action: The 73-year-old is also known for doing cartwheels on stage

'Everything's coming up roses. See you at 2p kiddos! #NYFW #BTS Xox,' she tweeted before the show.

Following, Betsey boasted, 'The runway was a total party! My best work was everywhere! XoX.'

She continued: '5o years in the business baby! What a day! What a life! Thank you forever #BetseyBabes Off to my after party! XoX.'

Betsey was honoured with the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award, during the CFDA Fashion Awards in June, for her long-standing career as a designer of vibrant and whimsical clothing.

But her career wasn't always smooth sailing.

She bounced back after her eponymous brand was forced into bankruptcy in 2012 and is now a fashion force online.

Friday's collection remained true to Betsey's style, featuring multicoloured garments, loud prints, ruffles, and funky fashions.
