Chris Brown wins big in court as he is granted joint custody of daughter Royalty while judge orders her mother to stop criticizing singer on social media

Chris Brown has been granted joint custody of one-year-old daughter Royalty.

The 26-year-old appeared in court in Houston on Friday, where the judge granted all of his requests. The court issued a gag order against Royalty's mother Nia Guzman, and also agreed to Brown's figure of $2,500 a month in child support.

The singer was seeking 50/50 custody, while Guzman was pushing for supervised visits only, TMZ reports. He will be allowed to take his daughter home today.

Guzman was seeking sole custody, and wanted to block Brown from unsupervised visits with the little girl.

However, the judge ordered them to share 50/50 custody of Royalty, and the child will now move between them every four days.

The judge also ordered Guzman not to speak negatively about Brown or discuss the case on social media, reportsTMZ.

And the court agreed to let Brown continue to pay $2,500 a month in child support, instead of the $15,000 a month Guzman was seeking.

Brown posted a photograph of himself from inside the Houston courtroom, writing 'I've been in the court for the last 2 hours,' and adding hashtag '#ILOVEROYALTY.'

The singer dressed down for court, in ripped jeans and a white Tshirt. He wore a number of gold necklaces as he smiled and posed with court officials.

Brown requested the gag order after he and Guzman had a number of public spats over their daughter, often lashing out in public via social media.

Guzman has called Brown's home an unsafe environment, citing concerns after a break-in at his home on July 15.

She fears that members of his entourage have gang ties and substance abuse issues, and that the burglary was an inside job that shows his friends are dangerous.

Guzman claims Brown is not responsible enough to have one-on-one visits with his daughter, and is pushing for supervised visits only.

Last month, Brown hit back on a blog comments section after her ex-boyfriend King Ba, real name Brazil Riesling, was accused by police of forging $5000 in US Treasury checks.

'All that safety talk and not allowing me to see my daughter contradicts everything,' he vented in online comments.

'Funny how I work a legit job and love my daughter to the fullest and I'm in her life. Well if that ain't the pot calling the kettle black.' And he threw in the hashtag '#Goddontlikeugly.'

He also took to Twitter last month in a tirade against the 31-year-old Guzman, accusing her of using their child as a way to make money.

He said 'Some men my age run from their responsibility as fathers. I embrace mine. Just sucks that some females use children as meal tickets.'

Brown appears to be a doting father, often posting photos of himself with his daughter on social media and even announced plans to name his next album Royalty in her honor.
