They both play no-nonsense astronauts in their new film The Martian.

But Kate Mara and Jessica Chastain showed off their fashion chops as they partied with costar Matt Damon at the Toronto Film Festival on Friday.

Fashion plate Mara, 32, wore a daring orange jumpsuit with cut-away side and back, while elegant Chastain, 38, opted for a fringed black shift dress.

The pair looked stylish and at ease as they schmoozed at the Variety Fandango party ahead at the film festival, where their the space drama will premiere.

And the actresses appeared to have become firm friends on set, greeting each other with a big hug.

The appeared to be in high spirits as they chatted and laughed with guests at the party.

Reunited: Chastian appeared thrilled to be back with her costar

Mara showed off her toned figure in the bright jumpsuit, which featured a cut-out sides and back, as well as cute pockets.

The House of Cards actress wore her pixie haircut styled high and brushed to the front, and paired her dramatic look with white and orange heels.

She played up her brown eyes with subtle makeup, and wore silver earrings, a delicate bracelet and a number of rings.

Movie star looks: The 44-year-old actor flashed a big smile while taking questions from the press

The actress appears to be hitting it off with her costars lately, as she is believed to be dating her Fantastic Four costar Jamie Bell.

The Interstellar star - who stars as a space mission commander in The Martian - wore a pretty black shift dress with cream fringed detail, which she paired with a black belt and black heels.

She wore her gorgeous red hair parted in the center, and looked glamorous with soft pink lipstick.

The actresses were later joined by costar Matt Damon on a panel to discuss the new thriller.

The actor has been hard at work filming the latest Bourne movie, and is also producing another series of HBO's filmmaking reality show Project Greenlight with best friend Ben Affleck.

Chastian and Mara spent the party hanging out while chatting with fellow guests, including actor Sebastian Stan.

The actresses seemed thrilled to see the Captain America actor, with Chastain flashing a big smile and opening her arms in welcome.

Later, they appeared serious as they listened intently to Stan, before Mara playfully waved her finger in his face as they joked around.
