But not for Bella Thorne. The young actress never puts a fashionable foot wrong - as she proved on Friday.

Jetting off to the Big Apple for New York Fashion Week, the 17-year-old looked straight out of the pages of teen favourite Nylon.

Bella - accompanied by her pet dog Kingston - caught an evening flight looking charming in a black and white stripped dress, white sneakers and playful lavender sunglasses.

The excited Thorne took to Instagram after she landed Saturday and posting pics of her at the airport saying, 'Finally back in NYC!!!! Let fashion week begin.'

Bella is no rookie when it comes to fashion shows as she has been spotted front row at some of the hottest runway shows for the past several years.

Thorne looked beautiful with long loose waves, natural makeup and just a bit of pink gloss to finish her look.

Kingston was a gift from ex-boyfriend, Tristan Klier who gave Bella the puppy in August 2012.

Although Thorne split from Klier, she has recently confirmed dating rumors with 23-year-old English actor Gregg Sulkin.

According to a People magazine report, after being friends for six years Thorne and Sulkin's relationship took a romantic turn earlier this summer.

The London native was photographed last month giving Thorne a loving kiss on the cheek as she picked up an award for choice movie villain for teen comedy 'The Duff' at the Teen Choice Awards.

'They have known each other for years and spend a lot of time together,' a source close to the couple said. 'They treat each other with a great deal of respect and are really enjoying each other's company.'
