And Russell Brand and Laura Gallacher only fuelled rumours of a new romance, as they put on a tender display of their affection during a jaunt to the romantic city of Rome, on Saturday.

The comedian, 40, and the pretty blonde - who's the younger sister of TV presenter Kirsty Gallacher - appeared to be enjoying some quality time together as they took in the famous landmarks of the Italian capital.

Following their flight out of the UK on Friday, the pair - who have dated several times over the years- quickly set out to enjoy some of the city's ancient and historic sights.

Never straying far from her side, Russell - who ended his last relationship with Jemima Goldsmith in 2014 - appeared attentive and affectionate towards Laura during their sun-soaked stroll.

The Get Him To The Greek star, who was previously married to Katy Perry for two years, opted for an eclectic and laid-back outfit for his sight-seeing tour of the city's famous Piazza del Popolo.

Teaming a sleeveless printed vest - flashing his extensive array of tattoos - with a pair of West Ham football shorts over some grey jogging bottoms, Russell appeared to be in a complete state of relaxation.
