Leggy Gaga! Singer flaunts her fantastic pins in tiny denim hotpants and dangerous platform heels as she attends Alexander Wang's NYFW show

By her standards, it was a pretty conventional outfit.

And although for most people Lady Gaga's ensemble on Saturday night  - at the Alexander Wang New York Fashion Week Show - would be something to be feared, the singer rocked it with ease.

The 29-year-old clearly went for the 'less is more' fashion mantra at the designer's catwalk showing of his spring/summer 2016, pretty much upstaging the designs with her revealing ensemble.

The singer flaunted her incredible toned and lean legs in a tiny pair of denim hotpants, that were so tiny and tight, could have doubled for underpants.

She teamed the jean shorts with a black and white striped crop top, showing off her pancake-flat torso, while adding some bulk with a heavy black leather jacket.

During the show, she also revealed that her skimpy ab-revealing top was mostly backless, too, the superstar showing off a notably slimmer frame after years of going up and down in dress size.

To keep the outfit from straying into 'normal' territory, though, the Born This Way hit-maker donned a pair of insanely high glittered platform heels with a perspex covering.

And her beauty look was as unique as ever, her peroxide locks straightened but with a fringe sitting high above her bleached eyebrows to reveal a heavy smattering of red eyeshadow across her lids.

She was joined at the runway event with her close friend and personal stylist Brandon Maxwell and another male companion, the two of them holding her hands as they arrived, almost to keep her on her highly-platformed toes.

During the show, which saw the New York-based fashion wunderkind show off his looks for the coming season, she cosied up to the likes of R&B icon Mary J Blige and photographer Steven Klein.

After the show, she also went along to the designer's afterparty, where she showed off her stunning pins once again, putting her leg up on a couch at one point for full effect.

Lady Gaga - whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta - looked slightly tired and po-faced as she attended the star-studded fashion show, held at trendy location Pier 94 in the Big Apple.

And her fatigue could be down to the fact she is currently working day and night on the set of American Horror Story: Hotel, the fifth season of the hit US show.

The singing star-turned-actress has been seen filming on location in Hollywood, but she found time in her packed schedule to fly to the east coast for the fashion show at the weekend.

The acting part - in which she runs the fictional downtown Los Angeles inn, the Hotel Cortez - is just another opportunity for the chart topper to express herself.

It's a part that creator Ryan Murphy has called 'consumed with art, fashion and people' in a similar style to Lady Gaga herself.

And though the blonde is known to feature in the first episode of Season 5, it's expected that her part will stretch out across the series.

The musician has previously featured in cameos in Machete Kills, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For and Muppets Most Wanted but is thought to have approached Ryan Murphy directly to obtain this part.

And it might possibly be the best fit for the queen of eccentricity.

She took to Twitter on Thursday to say: 'I'm so proud to be a part of such a talented group of friends. Thank u for welcoming me into your family of absurdity.'
