He's an award-winning actor, perhaps most famous for playing washed-up rock star Billy Mack in the Christmas film, Love Actually.

And it appears that Bill Nighy, 65, is just as funny in real life as he was seen walking with a young companion in London this week - who couldn't contain her laughter.

Spotted walking arm-in-arm, coffees in hand, the pair looked relaxed and carefree as they took a leisurely stroll through a park in the capital.

They looked very happy to be in each other's company, with both Bill and his youthful counterpart grinning from ear-to-ear during their walk.

Surrey-born Bill cut a smart/casual figure wearing a navy, longline blazer, teamed with a pastel shirt, stonewash jeans and tan brogue shoes.

His female companion, meanwhile, put on quite the leggy display in a blue printed dress, covering up with a black cape.

She accessorised with a pair of black suede ankle boots and a leather handbag, her brunette tresses falling into relaxed curls.

The British actor has a 31-year-old daughter, Mary, from his 27-year relationship with ex-girfriend Diana Quick.

He was recently rumoured to be dating US Vogue editor Anna Wintour, 65, after the pair were spotted at a number of high-profile fashion events together.

When asked whether it’s true at the time, he told an American paper: ‘Well, I have obviously nothing to say about that,’ adding that ‘there are a lot of rumours about me and probably about Anna Wintour’.

And in an interview with The Guardian's Nigel Farndale earlier this year, the Harry Potter star confirmed he was single.

He said: 'I don’t come home to anyone. I live alone, and if I was in a relationship and I were to tell you about it I would involve your readers in something approaching gossip, and I know they would never forgive me for that.'

The actor is currently filming wartime movie Their Finest Hour And A Half alongside Gemma Arterton in London.

Although Bill's role is unknown, the film's plot is about a British film crew who attempt to boost morale during World War II by making a propaganda film after the Blitzkrieg.

He also recently appeared in the new promotional image for the Dad's Army film, in which he stars as Sergeant Wilson. The film is out on 5 February 2016.
