She has been the cream of the fashion crop during the 72nd Venice Film Festival and made sure she went out with a bang.

Diane Kruger looked phenomenal for the Closing Ceremony of the prestigious movie event in Italy on Saturday. 

The 39-year-old stunner certainly made an entrance as she wore a dramatic black lace dress for the final evening of the festival, where she sat as a member of the prize-giving jury.

Diane epitomised gothic glam in her polo-neck lace gown, which featured a black mesh overlay atop a nude bustier before sweeping into a dramatic full bodied skirt. 

The flowing base of the dress comprised of lace panels, which once again gave a sneak peak of the nude slip beneath.

She wore a bejewelled clutch bag which added a touch of glitz to the otherwise muted ensemble.

Diane's classic blonde locks were pulled into an elaborate style behind her ears while a thin black Alice band gave the look a Victorian edge. 

A week of judging movies seemed to have taken its toll on the blonde beauty as she appeared tired beneath her sheath of smokey eye-shadow. 

She kept her accessories simple with just a dangling pair of gold earrings and nothing else - allowing the dramatic gown to speak for itself.

Elizabeth looked jaw-dropping as she arrived at the Closing Ceremony, where her and Diane will review such films as Everest and The Danish Girl.

The 41-year-old Hollywood star wore a dramatic red gown which flaunted a hint of toned leg and sexy cleavage.

Elizabeth wore the exquisite dress, which appeared to be made of taffeta and boasted a unique halterneck with a choker draped across her throat.

The gown bunched in on the Scrubs actress' tiny waist and split down to the ground to show off her slim legs.

She wore a structured black clutch bag with a gold-cage overlay and pearl studs on top and the bag complemented her black, strappy, sky-high heels.

Once inside Elizabeth sat on stage while dishing out awards to various stars of the movie industry.

The stunning star presented actor 14-year-old Abraham Attah with the Mastrello Mastroianni Award to a Young Actor for his role in Beasts Of No Nations.

Other movie hotshots who attended the ceremony and sat alongside the women on the judging panel included Taiwanese director Hou Hsiao-Hsien.

The multi-cultured jury also included Polish director Pawel Pawlikowski and Turkish director Nuri Bilge Ceylan. 

They were also joined by British director Lynne Ramsay, Italian director Francesco Munzi, French novelist Emmanuel Carrere and president of the jury Alfonso Cuaron.
