The former Subway spokesman is expected to be sentenced on November 19 for child sexual exploitation and child pornography charges.

Actress and singer Vanessa Williams (pictured inset) returned to the pageant as head judge for the first time in more than three decades since she resigned the title amid a nude photo scandal. Williams, the first African-American Miss America, won the title in 1984 but resigned after Penthouse magazine published sexually explicit photographs of her taken several years earlier.

Three brothers were shot to death by a man who then killed himself in a rural area outside Baton Rouge on Sunday, according to authorities. The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office says the men were found dead in a driveway after an argument broke out at about 12.30am in Baker, Louisiana. The suspected shooter was identified as Rodney Chemin (pictured right), 60, and the three brothers as (top left to right) Joseph Allen, 57, Perry Allen, 55 and Mark Allen, 51.

German politicians have called for urgent action on the migrant crisis as the country today halted all trains from Austria due to an overwhelming influx of refugees. This evening Germany reinstated 'temporary' controls at its borders with Austria as Europe's top economy struggles to cope with a record influx. It's not yet clear what temporary checks have been established, but an announcement on the decision is expected to be made this evening, according to German media reports. It comes as German authorities warn they are at their 'limit' in coping with the migrant crisis, while Hungary is taking a tougher stance against migrants trying to enter the country (main picture and bottom right) with 4,300 migrants detained yesterday.

At a press conference at the Toronto Film Festival, Clooney (right) said of Trump: 'Clearly, what he said is idiotic... Anybody who says as intolerant words as those should be laughed at.' The actor was referring to Trump labeling Mexican immigrants 'rapists' and criminals' when he kicked off his campaign to become US president. The Colorado woman who had her unborn baby cut from her womb by a stranger has broken her silence about the nightmare for the first time - including her body immediately after the attack and the heartbreaking moment she held her dead daughter in her arms. Michelle Wilkins, 26, was eight-months pregnant with partner Dan's baby when she went to the Longmont home of Dynel Lane after answering a Craigslist post advertising maternity clothing, and that is where she was knocked out and cut open. When she woke up, she had to hold in her internal organs from her gushing body while going to call 911, unaware that her baby Aurora was gone. 

A Hobe Sound, Florida, home belonging to Hollywood actor Burt Reynolds is now off the market. The home reportedly sold for $3.3million - nine years after it was originally listed. It comes with a helicopter landing space, waterfront dock, swimming pool, movie screening room, and a screened-in outdoor cabana. Reynolds purchased the home in 1980, paying $700,000 at the time. It has been on the market since 2006 with its most recent asking price being $4.9million. St. George's University founder Charles R. Modica bought the home earlier this month. The two reportedly made an arrangement which allows 79-year-old Reynolds, provided he pays rent, to continue to live in the house.

Air Force veteran Tara Ruby was inspired to take the photo after hearing that Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas was getting a new nursing room. Ruby, now a photographer, donated her services so she could decorate the walls with pictures of military moms breastfeeding their children as a way to show women they don't have to choose between being an active soldier and motherhood. Ten moms volunteered to be a part of the shoot and received full approval from their commanding officers. Ruby posted one of the images on her Facebook on Friday, where it's since been shared nearly 7,000 times.

Sydney mother Natalie Lovett, 48, raising her 18-month-old daughter Lexie after making contact with a San Diego fertility clinic two years ago to buy anonymous donor eggs and sperm. She had tried for a heartbreaking seven years to conceive a baby. The clinic contacted her in February to ask what she wanted to do with her remaining embryos. Ms Lovett came up with an unconventional solution - to create a modern extended family for her only child.

And now the slick transformation has been laid bare in a stark series of before-and-after photographs taken across little more than five years. Photographer Kristy Chatelain began her project just after moving to Greenpoint, northern Brooklyn, in 2006. She sensed change was on the way so took to the trash and glass-littered streets to capture her favorite crumbling bodegas, graffiti-covered walls, and tower blocks. Fast forward to 2015 and Greenpoint has the distinction of hosting Girls, Lena Dunham's hit HBO show, and consequently its own crop of brunching hipsters. Chatelain said she does not begrudge the change like many other Brooklynites and sees it as an exciting cycle. Brooklyn-born Spike Lee was less forgiving on the same topic. 'It's changed,' he told an audience. '...motherf****** hipsters .'

Samantha Cawley, 28, from Hardwicke, Gloucestershire - who is Miss August - organised the calendar to raise money for charity Purple Wings, which supports sufferers of bowel disease. She wanted to prove that the pouches, similar to colostomy bags, are no barrier to being beautiful. She said: 'I know there are some women out there that don't want to get naked in front of their partners because they are so self-conscious so, hopefully, this calendar will do something to help them rebuild their confidence.'

A Brazilian tattoo artist is helping victims of domestic violence heal by covering up their scars with beautiful tattoos for free. Flavia Carvalho's project, 'A Pele da Flor' or the 'Skin of the Flower', aims to transform the way women cope with the scars they have received from domestic abuse. Carvalho, from Curitiba, aims to give her clients, including those whose scars are a result of mastectomies, a boost in their self-esteem by creating an empowering piece of art on their bodies.

Tenille and Adam Bradley (pictured left) were celebrating at the Harrington Grove Country Club in Camden, Sydney, on Saturday night when a man got into an argument with some of the guests. The 55-year-old man then jumped in his Mazda 3 and started reversing at speed towards the bride (pictured right with her father) and several guests, only 'narrowly missing them'. Wedding photographer Warren Donovan described how he and several other guests had to dive into the garden to get away from the speeding car. The man fled the scene, but he was discovered by police and has been charged with dangerous driving.
