The actress went from making a stylish exit to needing an escape plan as the waiting crowds surged forward as she attempted to slip past.

At first it appeared to be controlled pandemonium, but as soon as Margot paused briefly to sign an awaiting fans autograph, everyone wanted to get closer to the Australian star.

Dozens of fans and photographers surged forward trying to snatch a snap their own shot with Margot.

The blonde bombshell wowed in an effortlessly stylish black and white ensemble with featured a pair of classic black trousers and a sheer white shirt which she rolled up at the sleeves.

Turning the look’s sexy factor up, the star’s top was a little sheer, showing off her bra underneath and drawing attention to Margot's underwear.

The former Neighbours star's attempt to go incognito with a pair of grey oversized Givenchy sunglasses had clearly failed as keen fans recognised her immediately.

Apart from the large dark shades, the outfit went without any major accessories sans for a pair of on-trend black and white mule wedge heels and some dainty gold jewellery adorning her neck and hands.

Keeping it simple for the journey, Margot wore her hair down loosely over her shoulders as she appeared to be travelling make-up free.

She carried her belongings in a shiny black leather backpack slung over her shoulders as she signed autographs for fans.

Despite the craziness going on around her, the actress did not break her focus as she multi-tasked signing signatures as she walked.

Margot looked surprisingly fresh-faced and awake considering she only landed in The Big Apple a day prior, after flying in from New Jersey on Friday.

She attended the BGC Charity day in Manhattan, as she transformed into a real-life Wolf Of Wall Street for the annual event.

The actress dressed conservatively in a matronly white blouse, black midi-skirt, and matching pumps to make calls for UNICEF.
