Anna Dello Russo

Editor at Large and creative consultant for Vogue Japan, it's rare that a runway show kicks off in any of the four fashion capitals without the presence of Anna Dello Russo.

Known for her outlandish style and love of bright, bold often bizarre designer clothing, Italian-born Dello Russo might be every bit the antithesis of her US Vogue counterpart.

While Anna Wintour's icy front row perch has become her signature Fashion Week move, followed by a swift exit once the designer takes a bow, you'll often find ADR (as she likes to be called) partying backstage with designers including Moschino's Jeremy Scott and his celebrity friends.

Eva Chen

The queen of Instagram fashion - she left her role as editor of American fashion magazine Lucky to head up the department for the image sharing site - Eva Chen has a hoard of social media followers all waiting with baited breath to see what she wears next.

Her series of InstaMeets - interviews with high profile fashion designers and celebrities - makes her a firm favourite with millennial fashion fans, while an endless collection of designer shoes and handbags (which she regularly flashes on Instagram) make her one to watch for style inspiration.

Laura Brown

As Executive Editor at Harper's Bazaar US, Laura Brown has cleverly set herself up as the every-woman of the fashion industry elite.

She hangs out with celebrities including Jessica Alba and Rosie Huntington Whiteley on a daily basis, and she mingles with the likes of Karl Lagerfeld and Alexander Wang backstage at Fashion Week.

Her 'tell it like it is’ reporting style (she recently got Kate Hudson to admit that most of her designer wardrobe is in fact 'borrowed') and goofy Instagram antics, however have won her a legion of fans who find her more relatable than other industry icons.

 Carine Roitfeld

Once editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris and before that a model herself, Carine Roitfeld's popularity has soared since quitting her prized role as Anna Wintour's French counterpart.

Her own fashion bible CR Fashion Book has become the go-to title for the industry's edgier set, while supermodels and celebrities from Karlie Kloss to Kim Kardashian (who posed for the cover of Roitfeld's title while pregnant with daughter North) currently flock to work with her.

Roitfeld's seemingly hands on approach to fashion styling is also at odds with that of Wintour, who prefers to take a cool stand-offish stance, as opposed to Roitfeld's in-the-mix enthusiasm.

Tina Craig

Once a stay-at-home mother, Tina Craig started a blog about handbags with her best friend for 'entertainment while their babies slept'. Ten years later, Craig is now known as the 'Bag Snob', co-runs the successful blog Snob Essentials and has designed a handbag collection for DKNY.

Her meteoric rise to fashion fame has seen her become best friends with designers Alexander Wang, Ricardo Tisci and the founders of Marchesa, plus a bevvy of front row celebrities.

Amanda Steele

At just 16-years-old, YouTube star Amanda Steele, who goes by the username MakeupbyMandy24, has quickly become one of the fashion industry's must-have front row guests.

Thanks to her impressive social media following - she boasts 2.3 million followers on Instagram, 2.6 million subscribers on YouTube and 760,000 followers on Twitter - and her unique sense of style, the confident teenager has landed herself spots on the front row at a variety of different shows, including Rebecca Minkoff and Lacoste - where she sat next to close pal and fellow teen fashion queen, singer Madison Beer.

And not only is the youngster landing tickets to some of the hottest shows in town, designers are also clamoring to dress Amanda for her appearances; thus far this season, she's modeled looks by every designer whose show she has attended, as well as parading an impressive designer handbag collection that would make even the Kardashian clan green with envy.

She also took time out of her busy fashion week schedule to fit in a filming session with Victoria's Secret model Lily Aldridge for Teen Vogue.

Maddie Ziegler

It's fair to say that this has been reality star Maddie Ziegler's year; not only has the 12-year-old dance prodigy-turned-reality star appeared in three phenomenally-successful music videos for Australian popstar Sia, she's also made a guest appearance in hit drama series Pretty Little Liars, and celebrated the fifth season of her hit reality series Dance Moms.

And it seems that success has earned her plenty of attention from within the fashion industry too.

Maddie, who was recently named on Teen Vogue's top 12 list Hollywood's next big things, has appeared on several front rows already this season, including Betsey Johnson - whom she counts as one of her close personal friends - Rebecca Minkoff and Christian Siriano.

And, of course, each designer leapt at the opportunity to style the tween queen for each show.

Danielle Bernstein

Blogger and social media style queen Danielle Bernstein boasts an impressive 1.2 million-strong legion of followers on her account Instagram, We Wore What, making her something of a hot property as far as the fashion industry is concerned.

Much like Amanda Steele, the 22-year-old has carved out a lucrative career through her fashion blog and her social media accounts; as of May this year, Danielle was able to command upwards of $15,000 for just one sponsored post on her Instagram account - and she certainly isn't short of fashion brands desperate to be featured on her social media sites.

Thus far at this season's New York Fashion Week, the style-savvy blogger has put in appearances on the front rows of Yigal Azrouel, Lacoste and Public School, to name a few.
