Following his heroics for Wales in recent weeks, Gareth Bale is back on La Liga duty with Real Madrid team-mate Luka Modric's 30th birthday party the first order of business.

Bale, who scored a thunderous late header to secure Wales a crucial 1-0 victory against Cyprus last Thursday, could not repeat his heroics against Israel on Sunday as Chris Coleman's men were held to a scoreless draw at Cardiff City Stadium.

Wales, despite Sunday's set back, still sit top of Group B in their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign.

Wales conclude their Euro 2106 campaign with a double-header against Bosnia-Herzegovina next month, before hosting group minnows Andorra three days later as they bid to secure their first appearance at a major tournament since 1958.

Bale, who left White Hart Lane in 2013 for a world record £86million to join the Spanish giants, has earned his country seven points alone through his six vital goals during the Euro 2016 qualifying campaign thus far.

Bale and Modric will be back on Los Blancos duty on Saturday with an away trip to Espanyol on the agenda.
