They've been married 17 years and are still madly in love.

Jada Pinkett Smith put on a very public display of affection on Sunday, wrapping her arms around husband Will and giving him a big squeeze as they waited for the valet to bring their car outside upscale restaurant Nobu in Malibu.

The Hollywood power couple had enjoyed lunch with friends who smiled indulgently at them as she hugged the hunk, absolutely unconcerned about showing her love in public.

Will, 46, stands 6ft 2ins so he towered over his petite 5ft wife. Both were casually dressed for their laid-back Sunday outing.

The actor wore a tan polo-style shirt, sharply pressed jeans and black Nike sneakers. His head was neatly shved and he sported designer stubble, a small beard and moustache.

Jada, 43, looked chic in a white blouse with a cut-out moon detail down the front and white trousers. Her wavy hair was smoothed back out of her eyes.

The couple met in 1995 when the actress auditioned for the role of Will's girlfriend on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

She was considered too short for the part, but a real-life romance blossomed. The couple wed in 1997 in a secret New Year's Eve ceremony at Baltimore's Cloisters Mansion.

They have been the subject of split rumours over the years, but they certainly appeared happy in each other's company on Sunday.
