Taraji teamed her sheer ensemble with gold stilettos and accessorized with a diamond-encrusted Chanel necklace.

Her raven tresses were styled with a soft wave, adding texture to her freshly chopped bangs, which seemed to channel 1950s pin-up star Betty Page.

She tucked her hands in her pockets for a few photos, hiding only for a moment her pointy nude polished acrylics.

The Oscar-nominee opted for a night-friendly makeup look, wearing smoky eye shadow, voluminous false lashes as well as a crimson lip stain.

While inside the East Village venue, Taraji was all smiles while being greeted by a three-tier birthday cake with a lion placed on the top.

Known for her boisterous personality, she had a blast while dipping her finger in the cake before blowing out the candles aside a bevvy of A-listers.

Seen behind her was Jussie Smullet, who portrays her son Jamal in the highly-anticipated series, as well as Crazy, Stupid, Love actress Marissa Tomei.

Her sultry display was actually her second look for the evening, considering hours before she was dressed in yet another black dress that featured a red, white and champagne panel down the side.

Taraji had plenty to celebrate, considering it was also the premiere of Fox's second season of Empire, which turned out to be a smash success in its debut season.

In attendance was Naomi Campbell, Gabourey Sidibe, and Taraji's on-screen ex-husband Terrence Howard, who brought his ex-wife Mira Pak less than a month after divorce rumors.

The birthday girl even enjoyed having a song dedicated to her by Howard and Smullet, taking the stage to groove by her co-stars while soaking up her moment in all it's glory.

Taraji will next be featured as the cover star on the October issue of Glamour Magazine, looking stunning in a bright orange frock with a metallic gold belt.

She gave fans an insight on her views regarding her character Cookie, dishing: 'After 17 years in prison, Cookie feels there is nothing to fear. She made it out alive. In her mind that’s how strong she is.'

The Baby Boy star also noted about her personal struggles, becoming pregnant while striving to be an actress: 'I didn't have time to go to the club to 'network.' That's B.S. No business deals go down at the club. So I didn't get caught up in that. I had a mission. I had to make my dream come true.'

Her determination, of course, paid off with her latest role earning her an Emmy nod - making her one of the most popular characters on television.
