She's living proof that style goes beyond age.

And Helen Mirren reiterated her fashionable credentials when she stepped out alongside the equally stylish Susan Sarandon at the Artists for Peace and Justice festival gala during the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival at Casa Loma on Sunday.

The 70-year-old star looked classy, yet sultry, in a black and white lace gown as she walked the red carpet with a beaming smile.

The Woman in Gold actress defied the years in the semi-sheer gown, which fell conservatively just above the ankle.

The British star paired the look with black stilettos and a small side-bag which was emblazoned with gold embellishments.

Her short blonde locks were worn in a sleek style around her face, which had been enhanced with a neutral make-up palette, with the exception of a glossy pink lipstick.

Susan, 68, looked just as alluring in a mink jumpsuit which featured a risqué mesh design across the shoulders.

The Thelma & Louise star paired the style with cream peep-toe heels and some dainty gold jewellery, while her red tresses were styled into glamorous waves.

Posing for a photo together inside the event, Helen and the American star held one another by the waist and offered a soft smile for the camera.

On Saturday, Helen once again looked the epitome of style as she attended the premiere of her latest movie, Trumbo.

The actress sported an enviable red ankle-length, floral gown, with three-quarter length scalloped sleeves as she laughed on the red carpet with long-time husband Taylor Hackford.

In the new flick, Helen plays Hedda Hopper, one of America's best-known gossip columnists in the 1930s, notorious for feuding with her arch-rival Louella Parsons.

She stars alongside Bryan Cranston, Diane Lane, Elle Fanning and John Goodman.
