Geri Halliwell steps out in chic all black outfit as she runs errands... amid reports Victoria Beckham has given her blessing for Spice Girls reunion

Last week she excited Spice Girls' fans all over the world with the news the band were in 'talks' to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut single and album.

So with reports that Victoria Beckham has given her blessing for a potential reunion, it wasn't surprising that Geri Halliwell was all smiles on Monday.

Stepping out in London as she ran errands the 43-year-old looked chic in an all black ensemble.

Having a make-up free day, Geri hid her eyes behind a pair of aviator styled sunglasses.

Wearing her hair down in its natural state, Halliwell, who married Christian Horner earlier this year, was ready for autumn in a black belted coat teamed with a polo neck and skinny jeans.

Adding height to her petite frame, the mother-of-one strutted along in a pair of heeled ankle boots as she clutched onto a metallic handbag, an umbrella and two shopping bags from Waterstones.

Do the splits in a midi skirt like Victoria's

Long gone are the days of pencil dresses and platform heels for Posh Spice. Victoria Beckham is taking inspiration from former bandmate Mel C and embracing a slightly sportier vibe for Spring 2016.

Her latest show at New York Fashion Week included models wearing bomber jackets, surf board prints and a whole lot of gingham. Sorry Mel B, not a spot of leopard print in sight! But of course, the star of the whole shebang was the designer herself, who made an appearance at the end looking sleek in top-to-toe black.

Hers might not have been one of the catwalk looks, but this outfit is just as indicative of what's to come next year. We love the midi length of her simple skirt, which is counterbalanced by a subtly sexy split up the front. When teamed with a plunging oversized black blouse and a tousled ponytail, she's elegance personified.

If you're feeling inspired by VB you don't have to wait until 2016. Take a look at our edit below for some split front skirts that will do the trick! And from Asos to Adam Lippes, we've got all budgets covered.

Meanwhile it has been reported that Victoria Beckham will not be part of the Spice Girls reunion but has given her approval and even agreed to attend at least one show.

The Sun's Dan Wootton revealed: 'Victoria met Geri recently to have an afternoon together reminiscing about old times.

'Geri filled Victoria in on the plans for the reunion next year and while Victoria made it clear she couldn't make it, she said she was more than happy for the other girls to go ahead.

'Victoria also told Geri she would be at one of the shows, or maybe more, cheering from the front row,' added the source.

Last week, Geri, formerly known as Ginger Spice, admitted there had been some discussion for the much-loved band to mark their 20th anniversary.

Speaking during an appearance on This Morning, she said: 'I think it's really flattering that people are still supportive of the Spice Girls individually and collectively, that's beautiful, it's really nice.

'It almost feels you know that it [the Spice Girls] belongs to everyone, like a generation. So I think it's one of those things that's been discussed, but until it's concrete I wouldn't announce it.'
