Lady Chatterley's hunk Richard Madden gets it off his chest, again
Actor Richard Madden caused quite a stir when he stripped off for his appearance in the recent TV film Lady Chatterley’s Lover.
But playing the brooding Mellors in the BBC version of D.H. Lawrence’s novel is, it seems, a hard role to shake.
For Madden, 29, clearly enjoys revealing his chest just as much in real life after he posted this topless selfie on his Instagram page after filming had finished.
In it, he reveals a rich tuft of dark hair while sunbathing, something which — mysteriously — isn’t so obvious in stills from the show.
Stripping off: Women and gay men around the globe sung and rejoiced when Richard Madden got his chest out on BBC's Lady Chatterley's Lover
Hairy situation: Mr Madden appears to be taking a break from his chest-related manscaping while on holiday
Days after Daniel Radcliffe threw his support behind Jeremy Corbyn, the Harry Potter star is hoping to work his magic on U.S. politics — with a dig at Donald Trump.

‘I’m not into conspiracy theories, but my recent favourite is that Donald Trump is running a false flag campaign for Hillary Clinton,’ says the 26-year-old.
‘He is galvanising the crazy Right-wing loony end of the Republicans.
'Also, his daughter is best friends with Chelsea Clinton. So much of it makes sense.’ Yes Dan, air-tight logic.
Killer dog bug back at Her Majesty's estate
David Cameron was among those paying tribute to the Queen as she became Britain’s longest-reigning monarch, but Her Majesty’s mind is on canine matters.
Her estate at Sandringham has raised new fears about a mystery bug that kills dogs, and signs have gone up around the 20,000-acre Norfolk spread warning owners.
‘Seasonal Canine Illness is a mystery illness affecting dogs during the autumn, which can prove to be fatal,’ the warnings state. ‘Cases have occurred at Sandringham . . . The illness has killed dogs in previous years.’
Last autumn, a number of dogs died after visiting Sandringham.
The disease was first identified at the estate in 2009.
The Queen was reportedly so worried that she personally requested the Animal Health Trust veterinary charity to investigate.
The cause is not known, but it is believed bacteria, blue-green algae or fungal spores are responsible.
Tattoos might now be so acceptable that even Samantha Cameron has a dolphin inked on her ankle, but TV historian Dan Jones is worried his ‘body art’ has scuppered his chances with the BBC.
‘Channel 5 doesn’t care about my tattoos — it might be different for the BBC,’ Jones tells me at the launch of Andrew Roberts’s World War I book Elegy. ‘
I did do Any Questions but, of course, that’s radio. I think people would quite like a tattooed historian on the BBC. The BBC has got to drag itself into the 21st century.’
A rare case of a historian eager to move on from the past.
Peas in a pod? Eddie Redmayne as Lili Elbe in The Danish Girl, left, and actress Jessica Chastain, right
When Oscar-winning actor Eddie Redmayne posed for posters for his latest film, The Danish Girl, in which he plays a transgender artist with full make-up, curled red hair and false breasts, I pointed out how closely he resembled Hollywood actress Jessica Chastain. Now even Chastain thinks so.
‘We ran into Jessica Chastain,’ says Eddie’s wife, Hannah, at the Toronto Film Festival.
‘She’d seen the poster for The Danish Girl and was worried that people would think it was about her.’
Now that Diane Abbott is in the Shadow Cabinet, she is expected to quit her lucrative slot on BBC1’s This Week programme, fronted by Andrew Neil. Who will succeed her?
‘We’ll have no shortage of candidates,’ says Neil, without naming names.
Yvette Cooper, perhaps? Or Alan Johnson? Bets are on a revolving set of pundits so Michael Portillo will get to snuggle up to all of them on the sofa.
