Hillary Clinton says making Bill her vice president 'has crossed my mind' – 'but he's not eligible' since he couldn't be president again if she died

  • Hillary Clinton sat down with Extra host Mario Lopez and said Bill 'would be good' as vice president, but already served two terms as president
  • Clinton said she was watching the rise of Donald Trump with 'some concern' but would look forward to debating him
  • The Democratic front-runner called Kim Kardashian 'warm and very personable'
  • If Kanye West runs for president in 2020, Clinton advised he wear comfortable shoes 'because there's a lot of walking'

Hillary Clinton said making Bill Clinton her vice presidential runnning mate 'has crossed my mind,' but con conceded that her husband isn't eligible to take the gig.

'He would be good, but he's not eligible,' she told Mario Lopez on the Extra entertainment show.

'Under the Constitution, he has served his two terms and I think the argument would be as vice president it would not be possible for him to ever succeed to the position – at least that's what I've been told.'

The vice president's two Constitutional duties are to preside over the U.S. Senate as a tie-breaking vote in the 100-seat body, and to become president if America's chief executive were to die, resign, or be convicted in an impeachment hearing.

Clinton also talked about Republican front-runner Donald Trump, and meeting Kim Kardashian and Kanye West for the first time.

On Trump, Clinton said said she was watching his political rise with 'some concern.'

'Because I think a lot of what he has said has been really inflammatory and destructive,' Clinton said.

'He has not put forward any real politics, he has made a lot of claims and I think it may reflect on the Republican side, some of the pent-up frustration that they have.'

Clinton said she was happy standing on the sidelines, while the Republicans picked their nominee.

'But I am certainly looking forward, if he were the nominee, to debating him in the general election because there's a lot of talk about starting with his really outrageous statements about immigration,' Clinton said to Lopez, who is Mexican-American.

Lopez also asked the candidate about social media and the queen of social media, Kim Kardashian.

'You know, I just met her for the first time, she came to one of my fundraisers in Los Angeles and I really enjoyed meeting her,' Clinton gushed. 'I really found her to be warm and very personable.'

At the fundraiser, Clinton got to meet Kanye West, Kardashian's husband, too.

'She had a nice way of introducing her husband, as if I didn't know who he was,' Clinton chuckled. 'And I enjoy seeing her with her daughter.'

Clinton didn't mind complimenting the reality TV starlet, who first became famous thanks to a sex tape and has built up a reality television, fashion and video game fortune since.

'So I think all of us in our own ways can be inspirational or aspirational for people ... and I certainly think many people see her as someone who gets up every day and tries to figure out how to make that day successful.'

Lopez brought up West's announcement during the MTV Video Music that he planned to run for president in 2020.

'Well, if I'm gong for my second term, [I would ask him] to wait four years.'

'But if I'm not – be sure he has comfortable shoes because there's a lot of walking involved.'
