Blake Lively insists she didn't 'throw shade' at Taylor Swift as she glams up for pal's book launch

She took some stick for appearing to diss Taylor Swift after making a joke about the pop superstar's video for her hit single Bad Blood.

But on Sunday Blake Lively revealed she's obsessed with the 22-year-old in an Instagram of the singer posing with members of the actress's family.

The 28-year-old added a long caption, saying: 'Umm whoever thought I was throwin shade clearly doesn’t know I have a “Taylor Swift Please Be My Wife Voo Doo Doll” #obsessed.

'Look how rad she is here making my niece Heather feel like a rock star. Love my Canadian family almost as much as I love Taylor Lively. I mean Swift. Ok, FIIINE we can hyphenate our last names. Xo Blake Swift-Lively 4eva.'

The previous evening Blake hosted an intimate dinner for some 30 guests to celebrate pal Angie Niles‘s new book Bright Lights Paris: Shop, Dine & Live . . . Parisian Style, at Laduree Soho in New York.

The actress looked chic in a long black jacket with red and blue panels at hip height and tassles cascading to her knees by designer Anna Sammarone, according to Vogue.

She paired the unusual garment with a white blouse and black trousers.

The fashion bible also reported the celebrity was wearing Christian Louboutin shoes, carried a Gucci clutch and sparkled in jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz and Ofira Jewelz.

Blake's long blonde hair was styled in gentle waves that cascaded over her shoulders.

Glam up your winter wardrobe with a feathered coat like Blake

Blake Lively has returned to the fashion scene with a flutter! The new mom looks sleek in this Anna Sammarone feathered coat over her Louboutins and classic blouse/skinnies combo.

Using layers with texture like this is always figure flattering. But everyone is going feather crazy this fall. Look at designers like Emilio Pucci, Balmain and Amanda Wakeley: they've have all done very similar styles.

While you may have thought this kind of coat is too ostentatious for you, see how Blake is styling hers so it looks perfect for fall everyday. You could glam up this look with a burgundy shift dress underneath for a perfect dinner date outfit.

Sadly this is not available to purchase online. You can click to the right to check out what is purchasable at the Anna Sammarone site or if your heart's all aflutter with these feather embellishments, check out our edit below.

In an interview posted online on Sunday, Blake told Vogue: 'The first time I went to Paris I was a little bit overwhelmed, so I was slightly disappointed because I had dreamt of it so much - and I’m going to sound like a jerk for saying that, but I just didn’t know what to do.

'I completely shut down and let the city eat me alive. But then I got her list, and it was intimate and inviting and not the things that I had read about in every guidebook.

'Angie’s version of Paris is the best version I ever had.'
