Soccer mom! Julia Roberts rocks off-duty style as she gets stuck in to her sons' football match with husband Danny Moder

She turned heads at the Givenchy fashion show during New York Fashion Week on Friday.

But by Sunday Julia Roberts was back to her mothering duties as she supported her sons during their soccer match in Malibu, California.

The 47-year-old star was sat at the sidelines, ready with refreshments, as she and husband Danny Moder cheered on their boys Phinnaeus, 10, and Henry, eight.

Cool out in a pair of striped boyfriend shorts like Julia

Julia Roberts certainly has her Malibu casual look down -- stripes. On Friday night in New York at the Givenchy show, it was a tuxedo jacket, graphic T-shirt, black pants and a pair of black pumps. Back in Cali, she's back in one of her favorite pairs of shorts; we've seen her wear these at least one other time.

Every girl needs a blue-and-white striped something in her closet to carry her through warm months. The horizontal stripes, more rare in bottoms than in tops, bring to mind the classic Breton striped shirts worn by everyone from Coco Chanel to Picasso and, later, Jean Paul Gaultier. It's a French seaside classic.

Julia's pleated boyfriend shorts are by ATM and you can copy her look exactly if you click right.

If you'd rather have a look around first, check out the many examples of horizontal striped shorts we found online.

The Pretty Woman star cut a relaxed figure in a denim shirt and high-waisted nautical-style striped shorts.

Ready for a day on her feet, the actress teamed the look with a pair of floral Converse trainers.

Julia's sense of style appeared to rub off on her husband as he too sported a denim shirt for a day on the soccer pitch.

Julia looked to certainly get caught up in the game as she yelled words of encouragement to spur on her sons.

The actress even looked a little annoyed by the way her sons' team were play at one point, as she clenched her hands and grimaced her face.

Just days before her family outing, Julia put on a glamorous display as she flew solo to the Givenchy show at New York Fashion Week.

The Eat Pray Love star stood out from the crowd in an androgynous black trouser suit, which she coupled with a graphic T-shirt, which looked to be emblazoned with the face of the brand's creative director Riccardo Tisci.

Meanwhile, the mother-of-three has been busy filming new star-studded flick Mother's Day, which also features Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson, Timothy Olyphant and Jason Sudeikis.

Helmed by Valentine's Day and New Year's Eve director Gary Marshall the story follows the intersecting stories of a group of mothers on the special day.
