Better Homes and Gardens have joined forces to find Australia's ugliest bedroom and award the winner will get a $13,000 bedroom makeover. She is in Australia to promote her upcoming seventh world UFC Women's Bantamweight title defence fight with American Holly Holm.

She's an aspiring actress with a string of minor film and TV credits to her name, but rapping is definitely one string Heather Maltman won't be adding to her bow. The 29-year-old revealed a hitherto unknown love of gangster rap during a guest appearance on Channel Ten chat show The Project.

Nearly a decade after she was sacked via email from Channel 10 after the birth of her second child, renowned Australian journalist Tracey Spicer has penned a pro-feminist poem. Kelly O'Dwyer, who returned to Parliament last month after giving birth to her daughter in May, was advised by the office of the government's Chief Whip Scott Buchholz to consider expressing more milk to avoid missing votes in the chamber. Breastfeeding mothers are given a proxy vote in the Parliament under current rules, which means their vote still counts even when they are not in the parliamentary chamber. Mr Buchholz is said to have been unaware of the rule until he asked Labor's Chief Whip, Chris Hayes, about how he should handle mothers who breastfeed.

As desperate men, women and children pleaded to be allowed through the newly completed razor wire fences, several hundred finally lost their patience and attempted to break through the barricades. Hungarian police responded by firing their tear gas and water cannons across the border into Serbia and charging through the gates in an attempt to disperse the crowds. Alexander Kenney was found unconscious in a family friend's dam at Nana Glen near Coffs Harbour on the NSW mid-north coast by his nine-year-old staffy Leala a fortnight ago. Leala went into the dam to try and rescue Alexander on September 5 before the drenched dog ran back to the house frantically trying to get his father David's attention. His father performed CPR for 27 minutes before being airlifted to hospital and placed in an induced coma. The toddler left doctors in disbelief 48 hours later when he started making a speedy recovery and was able to breathe on his own.

Adorable tiny goat, Billy, has taken a keen interest in kayaks and loves playing around in them on the beach (main) in Hahei, on New Zealand's North Island. Two-week-old Billy was orphaned by his mother and was found close to death on a farm there. But after being rescued by a kayaker, Billy now likes nothing better than to fool around in them with his best friend Duke the border collie (inset).

And Jamie Dornan is seemingly hoping to up-size since the 33-year-old actor has put his Grade II listed Cotswolds cottage up for sale for a cool £500,000. Antony Britton (left), from Linthwaite, West Yorkshire, had hoped to go one better than Harry Houdini by escaping unaided from a standard-sized grave placed six feet under the earth. But this shocking footage shows the stuntman having to be pulled unconscious from beneath the surface (bottom right) - almost nine minutes into the escape bid - after he failed to break through. With Mr Britton just 'seconds away from death', the horrifying footage shows three rescuers desperately digging into the soil (top right) in a bid to free the escapologist. It then takes seven full-grown men to heave him into the fresh air, where a paramedic was waiting to bring him round. His failed attempt - which was carried out in front of an anxious audience at a charity event at Slaithwaite Spa - also left the stuntman with a cracked rib and several minor scratches. The people who rescued the stuntman had earlier been filmed moving soil onto his grave (inset).

One New York City police officer is trying to encourage people to workout and eat healthy in a way many can appreciate - who shirtless photographs. Michael Counihan (above) uses his Instagram account - which he aptly named NoDonutsHere - to post photos of his workouts and the results of his heavy lifting and simple diet to encourage other first respondents to get in shape. As a result, Counihan, who has been on the force for eight years, has now gained a reputation as a fitness expert from people across the country - and an equally fit girlfriend (inset left)

Asali the giraffe (pictured) has embarked on a 24-hour road trip of a lifetime from Perth to Adelaide to join a female herd in an open range zoo. Her 2200km journey from Perth Zoo to Monrato Open Plain Zoo will also be a homecoming of sorts for Asali as that's where she was born. Perth Zoo also planned the route to avoid any low bridges or trees for the 4.4m giraffe, and have worked with Western Power to raise powerlines where necessary.

Max Beauvoir, the first and only 'Supreme Voodoo Chief' of Haiti, died at the age of 79 on Saturday. As head of the country's 6,000 houngans, or witchdoctors, he was credited with stopping a US invasion of Haiti and saving dozens of voodoo priests from angry lynch mobs who blamed them for a cholera outbreak. Controversial Gold Coast fitness guru Sophie Guidolin, 26, has received backlash following a Today Show interview (centre). Viewers took to Facebook to claim the 26-year-old held her newborn twins Evie and Aria incorrectly by not supporting their necks and wrongly cleaned up their spit up. Ms Guidolin gave birth to her twin girls two weeks ago (right) and has already lost 12 of the 17 kilos she gained (left). The mother-of-four, who has a legion of loyal fans on social media, first sparked controversy for her strenuous exercise regime throughout her pregnancy (inset), which critics claimed was putting her babies at risk, despite Mrs Guidolin getting her doctor's approval.

Backwards somersaults, balancing splits and walkovers - these are moves even the most accomplished of gymnasts would be proud to pull off. But new gymnastics boy wonder Arat Hosseini, 2, from Iran, is already able to perform the complicated poses after taking up the sport when he was just nine months old. Many of his stunts are filmed in bizarre locations in the family's home in Babol in the Mazandaran Province and show him balancing on top of televisions (pictured top left), chairs (top and bottom right) or climbing up walls (bottom left).

Two koala 'tree mates' have been caught in a warm but unlikely embrace with one of Taronga Zoo's newest joeys. While the two females, Sydney and Milli, have been tree-mates since they were quite young and are often spotted eating or sleeping close together, TJ is one of two brand new koala joeys to emerge from the pouch this season and is Sydney's first born. The trio were caught on film earlier this week nuzzling together, despite this being 'quite unusual' behaviour for koalas.

Kami Klingbeil, from California, decided to arrange  the quirky photoshoot after giving birth to Brydon just hours after the family's dog, Delia, welcomed nine little pups into their home. The photos, taken by Teresa Raczynski of Park Avenue Photography, were shot only six days after the double-timed births took place.
