'I went through a bit of a phase and it was the best thing I’ve ever done': Delta Goodrem admits her 'wild chapter' is behind her as she stuns in magazine shoot

Delta Goodrem has claimed that her wild days are behind far behind her in a frank new interview.

While the stunning singer is not exactly known for making the headlines with raunchy antics like some famous superstars, Delta has admitted she did go through her own ‘wild chapter’ over the past few years.

Speaking to Vogue Australia, the 30-year-old star admitted that her new single Wild was an ‘expression’ of her wild times, saying: ‘I had my wilder days, it was a wild chapter, and I needed to do that to get to here.’

The former Neighbours star continued: ‘I went through a bit of a phase and it was the best thing I’ve ever done. I had fun with my friends in LA and I have the best friends.’

Delta did not reveal exactly what ‘wild’ things she got up to during that time but she did admit that her experiences have allowed her to learn to go with the flow.

When asked where she believes life will lead here, she answered simply: ‘You know, for the first time ever in my whole life, genuinely, I don’t know where it goes.’

And while she does hope for love and kids one day, The Voice Australia coach admitted that music, performing and expressing herself are the certainties in her life at present.

Something that is not so certain is whether she will return to The Voice for another season, after she hinted that she may not continue her run on the show after four year on the panel.

The blonde star has been busy rehearsing for her upcoming role in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cats The Musical, in which she will play the most glamorous cat Grizabella.

Based on T. S. Eliot's Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats, the show is set amongst a larger-than-life junkyard playground and is alive with feline characters including Rum Tum Tugger, Mr. Mistoffelees, Macavity, Jennyanydots, Old Deuteronomy, Grizabella and Skimbleshanks.
