From Wolverine to dancing machine! Hugh Jackman kicks up his heels as he gives fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse at his Broadway to Oz dance rehearsal

You could say he's the ultimate chameleon of stage and screen.

He's played the flamboyant Australian singer and performer, Peter Allen, and the embittered Jean Valjean in Les Misérables, as well as the supremely buff mutant anti-hero, Wolverine.

As Hugh Jackman returns to the stage in Broadway to Oz, his latest arena spectacular, Australia's favourite son has shared a video of rehearsal time with his 3.2 million Instagram followers.

In the video, he's swapped his retractable steel claws for jazz-hands as he taps his way through practice.

Dressed in all-black dance attire, he moves incredibly nimbly for such a large man - the 46-year-old is 6'2" and very solidly built.

Accompanying him in the snippet is Warren Carlyle, a Tony Awarding-winning director and choreographer.

Jackman captioned the video with: 'Rehearsals with the awesomely talented @warrencarlyle for Broadway to Oz. Let's make it rain!' in a reference to throwing wads of cash at strippers.
