Jessica Alba sizzles in sexy sequin dress and boots for Tonight show visit before casual stroll to a children's birthday bash with daughter Haven

It was a quite a transformation but one that this actress-turned-entrepreneur handled with aplomb.

Jessica Alba started off the day looking like a glamour queen for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in New York City on Monday, and then soldiered up for mommy duty in casual khaki take her youngest daughter, Haven, to a children's birthday party.

The Honest Company owner was spotted leaving her Big Apple hotel dressed to the nines to tape her appearance on The Tonight Show at NBC Studios.

Jessica must have stopped traffic and caused some neck-craning in that outfit that consisted of a midnight-blue mini-dress glimmering with thousands of miniscule sequins.

She showed off just a hint of skin thanks to thigh-skimming dark-blue suede boots, which added to the retro 1960s look.

Her hair was styled straight with just the slightest of undercurl while tip-tilted opaque sunglasses added an air of mystery.

That afternoon, Jessica shared a funny 'gummy' promo on her Instagram page in which they said - through gum-clenched teeth - that they're 'so happy' and 'excited' for the show.

'You'll let me know if there's anything in my teeth, won't you,' Fallon asked Jessica, who responded, 'Yeah, totally.'

'We're just here looking glam before @fallontonight #FallonTonight #HonestBeauty,' read Alba's caption.

Mommy duty calls: The Sin City star changed into an Army-green jumpsuit and sandals to ferry Haven to the birthday party that promised to be fun too

Mommy duty calls: The Sin City star changed into an Army-green jumpsuit and sandals to ferry Haven to the birthday party that promised to be fun too

Hectic scheduling aside, the mother-of-two looked totally at ease as she ferried four-year-old Haven to the kids' birthday bash.

Jessica looked smart in an Army-green, long-sleeved jumpsuit cuffed at the shins and worn with a pebbled print cardigan and patent leather slip-on sandals.

She pushed Haven in an equally chic stroller with scarlet fabric seat and hood, which was rolled back to enable the little girl a view of the street.

Haven looked ready to party with her pals in a pale pink patterned frock matched with lavender cardigan and flower-adorned sandals.

The ginger-haired tot wore her fine locks pulled up into a princess top knot decorated with another pastel-coloured bloom.

Jessica proceded down the sidewalk with large-framed shades shielding her eyes and her mocha-brown locks slightly tousled, perhaps the only sign of a quick change.

The Sin City star appeared relatively calm less than two weeks after her eco-friendly business, The Honest Company, was slapped with a lawsuit.

Consumer Jonathan D. Rubin alleged in the legal documents that the 'all-natural' products were 'deceptively and misleadingly' marketed and many products actually contained 'unnatural' and 'synthetic' ingredients, People reported.
