Having Anna Wintour on the front row of your runway show is already an achievement most designers can only dream of.

But when your husband accompanies her to watch her beloved tennis, you know you've really made it.

David Beckham ensured the great relationship between his wife Victoria's brand and the Vogue editor continued to flourish as he sat beside her at the US Open to watch Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer take to the court.

The friendly display came after Anna and her daughter Bee Shaffer sat next to the retired footballer and his son Brooklyn as Victoria debuted her latest range at New York Fashion Week on Sunday afternoon.

David, 40, was all smiles as he took his seat next to the most powerful woman in fashion at the sporting event, wearing the same brown suit he had to the runway show.

And they weren't the only big names to take in the match - Anna and David both said a very pally hello to Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman as he arrived.

Beckham's longtime manager Simon Fuller also attended.

Long gone are the days of pencil dresses and platform heels for Posh Spice. Victoria Beckham is taking inspiration from former bandmate Mel C and embracing a slightly sportier vibe for Spring 2016.

Her latest show at New York Fashion Week included models wearing bomber jackets, surf board prints and a whole lot of gingham. Sorry Mel B, not a spot of leopard print in sight! But of course, the star of the whole shebang was the designer herself, who made an appearance at the end looking sleek in top-to-toe black.

Hers might not have been one of the catwalk looks, but this outfit is just as indicative of what's to come next year. The chummy sporting day out came after David had headed to lunch at Balthazar with Brooklyn and Victoria to celebrate her show.

And it seems that all went well with the presentation - the notoriously stony-faced former Spice Girl flashed a small trace of smile as she hit the catwalk to greet the crowds.

The mother-of-four, who owns her own global fashion empire, looked effortlessly chic in an elegant black dress, complete with a plunging neckline and centre-slit detail.

The all-black ensemble, which was teamed with classy suede heels and a statement gold watch, highlighted her petite and slender curves to perfection.

Keeping the outfit crisp and clean, Victoria rounded off the stylish proceedings with heavily defined eyes and plush nude lips, while sweeping her brunette tresses into a high ponytail.

The football star, 40, took to his Instagram page to share a snap from the show, which he simply captioned: ‘Amazing show ❤️ @victoriabeckham.’

Later adding another of his son with the words: ‘Calm before the storm... Proud of his mum ❤.’
