She's successfully made the transition from model to actress with roles in Love, Rosie and Insurgent.

And Suki Waterhouse appeared to be gearing up for a brand new project as she ventured out in New York City on Monday afternoon in a businesslike ensemble, clutching what appeared to be a sizable script under one arm.

The 23-year-old model was joined by actor-turned-filmmaker Aram Rappaport, a further hint she could be working on an upcoming moive.

Suki looked ready to get down to work in her smart navy suit, which featured ankle-grazing trousers and a long draped jacket worn over a plain white T-shirt.

The British beauty wore her blonde locks down loose and accessorized with a giant pair of shades, retaining an element of her usual tomboy style thanks to her casual trainers.

Aram, who has just finished directing Dianna Agron and Maggie Q in crime drama A Conspiracy On Jekyll Island, cut a more low-key figure in jeans and a baseball cap.

Suki recently admitted she will be shooting a new film in November, so the pair could well be collaborating together.

Aram has also been sharing a number of snaps of the Burberry model on his Instagram account of late, prompting fans to speculate about whether they could be dating.

MailOnline has contacted a spokesperson for Suki, who declined to comment.

Suki, who split from actor Bradley Cooper earlier this year, recently opened up about her move into acting, revealing that modelling was never her end goal.

'I don't really see myself as a model - I know that sounds weird', Suki explained in an interview with Grazia.co.uk.

'It's the perfect way into the things I want to do, and I'm not going to stop doing it because I won't, but it's never going to be my whole career.

'I have too many other things I want to do, I'd get too anxious doing one thing.'
