Eva Green goes for full gothic glamour as she dons fitted Victorian costume while shooting third series of horror show Penny Dreadful

Eva Green looked daunting as she swept through the streets of Dublin on Monday wearing an imposing costume while filming the third season of Penny Dreadful.
The 35-year-old actress, who plays heroine Vanessa Ives in the series, donned a floor-sweeping black skirt, fitted black jacket and beige shirt.

The French star cut a gothic figure in her costume which comprised of her heavy, Victorian style skirt while she wore hobnail boots underneath.
Eva flashed her trim waist from beneath the fitted jacket while wearing an extremely restricting cream blouse tied up to the neck.
Her ensemble for shooting the series, which is set in the 19th Century, was extremely well thought through, with Eva looking just like an emblem of the past.

Her raven locks were pulled into a dishevelled low bun with a sweeping side parting.
Eva's make-up was one of the stand out points of the entire ensemble.
The natural beauty was made to look drawn and unwell, with the help of lashing of white powder and daunting purple shadows drawn around her eyes.

The critically acclaimed Showtime programme is centered around the 'penny dreadfuls' - a form of cheap fiction publication of the 19th century which was often lurid in content.
The series borrows from an array of literature to provide characters including Oscar Wilde's creation, Dorian Grey and Mary Shelley's Victor Frankenstein.
