Her slender legs and ample bust have bagged her appearances in more than one of Sports Illustrated's steamy swimwear editions.

And Kate Upton wasn't afraid to put either on display as she attended Carine Roitfeld's star-studded dinner in New York City on Monday night.

The 23-year-old slipped her enviable curves into a tight black skirt which featured a flattering asymmetric hemline - perfect for showcasing her lean limbs.

Kate Upton is one of a host of models to attend New York Fashion Week but, instead of walking, she's sticking to sitting on the front row.

From Karolina Kurkova to Coco Rocha, these supers prefer to watch a show than be in it these days. But that doesn't mean Kate wasn't looking fierce last night as she headed to a dinner in the city.

The model coupled the style with a sheer black blouse which teased a glimpse of her cleavage with its plunging neckline, though it's lace-up detailing ensured the beauty didn't put too much on display.

Ensuring the look wasn't too monochromatic, Kate gave the look an even sultrier edge with pointed red stilettos and a coordinating scarlet lipstick.

Her striking blue eyes were accentuated with a black eye-liner, while her blonde locks were worn in a chic up-do.

But The Other Woman actress wasn't the only big name invited to the bash, as inside she mingled with the likes of Kim Kardashian, Gigi and Bella Hadid and Alex Pettyfer.

All of the guests appeared to don black or white ensembles for the evening, with pregnant Kim opting for a similar style to Kate in a black lace-up dress that also showcased her burgeoning bump.

Sisters Gigi and Bella also flashed the flesh, with Gigi, 20, showing off her slender pins in a thigh-skimming black dress, while her 18-year-old sister rocked an even more risqué style in a sheer lace shirt and black bra.

Despite her Fashion Week popularity, Kate has been focusing on her acting career as of late as she is set to star in comedy, The Layover, which is currently in pre-production.

The comedy also stars Alexandra Daddario, Matt Jones, Kal Penn, Molly Shannon, Rob Corddry and William H. Macy, who is directing the flick.

It is centred around two friends who decide to go on a road trip together. The Layover is set for release sometime in 2016.
