Warrington beating St Helens would complete Super League set for Michael Monaghan

Warrington hooker Michael Monaghan is hoping to fit the missing piece of the jigsaw when his side take on bogey team St Helens at Widnes' Stobart Stadium tonight.

The Australian has experienced victory against every team in Super League in his three years in England with the notable exception of Saints, who have not lost to their near-neighbours for 10 years.

'It would be nice to complete the set but it's probably something the fans and the media have a bit more focus on than the team,' Monaghan said. 'We're just focused on playing well against whoever.

'This game is worth two points and so is next week and the week after that, so it's not going to break our season win or lose, but we certainly want to go there and send a message to St Helens and the other teams.'

Warrington went through the first 15 seasons of Super League without winning a match at Knowsley Road and will be hoping a change of venue helps produce a change of fortune when St Helens play the first of their home games for 2011 at the Stobart Stadium.

'We've got a good record there, with two Challenge Cup wins, but I don't think that will mean too much,' Monaghan said. 'It's whoever turns up and performs best for the 80 minutes that will get the job done.

'We go into every game expecting to win and it will be no different this weekend.'

Meanwhile, surprise package Harlequins can go two points clear at the top of the table tonight if they beat Leeds at Headingley in the clash of two of the three teams with 100 per cent records after the opening two rounds.

Quins coach Rob Powell, who goes head to head with his predecessor Brian McDermott, has drafted in former Leeds and England winger Mark Calderwood for what would be his debut on the ground where his career began.

Calderwood, who is on trial with the Londoners after being released by Hull, is joined in Powell's 19-man squad by centre Karl Pryce, who is on loan from Wigan, but there is no guarantee that either man will play, with the coach loath to change a winning team.

'We started pre-season with guys in that position and they've played extremely well,' Powell said.

'Jamie O'Callaghan was our man of the match against Crusaders, Chris Melling has also played really well and the two centres have been really productive.

'So these guys have to fight to get into the team. There is no free ticket.'
