Michael Kors declares 'earthy elegance' for next spring with a sun-kissed New York Fashion Week collection

Spring/summer 2016 is all about 'earthy elegance,' says Michael Kors, who presented his new collection at New York Fashion Week Wednesday morning.

Sun-kissed shades of sand, nutmeg, vanilla, straw, topped off with blue sky, certainly spoke to that fresh kind of joie de vivre, as did the strappy sandals and easy, flat slides.

Kors created delicate pleating and slashed skirts to catch the wind, their softness juxtaposed with relaxed tailoring; and Kendall Jenner leading a charge of unexpected black looks that added a tough edge to the otherwise romantic collection.
