Kanye West 'gets glowing report card' after completing court-ordered community service stemming from 2013 altercation with photographer

Kanye West has completed the court-ordered community service imposed as a result of his run-in with a photographer outside Los Angeles International Airport in 2013.

The rapper completed the required 250 hours handed down by a LA judge in the fashion design program at the Los Angeles Trade Technical College.

At a hearing Tuesday, according to TMZ, his lawyer Blair Berk presented a glowing letter from the college's Dean praising the Yeezy designer for his contributions to the higher education institution and its students.

'The contribution of the hands-on community service Mr. West has completed with our school has been of great benefit to our students and program,' the letter said.

TMZ also reported that Kanye in fact completed more hours than he needed to - a total of 262.

The altercation between the star and photographer Daniel Ramos occurred in July 2013 and was caught on tape.

In March 2014, Kanye pleaded ' no contest' to misdemeanor battery and grand theft charges.

He was sentenced to two years of probation, which included a requirement to complete community service and anger management counseling.

The performer still remains on probation but as long as he's on his best behavior, that will come to an end in March 2016.

He avoided a civil trial over the dust up by agreeing to settle a lawsuit brought by Ramos.

Kanye wasn't in the LA courtroom Tuesday morning because he's with wife Kim Kardashian in New York for the city's Fashion Week.

The couple are expecting their second child, a brother for daughter North, later this year.
