Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has had his fair share of on-field battles with Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure over the years.
Tensions most certainly rose in 2012 when City earned a 2-1 victory at Old Trafford – with Ferdinand riling the Ivorian with his ‘shh’ gesture.
But Ferdinand’s latest Instagram suggests the duo certainly don’t hold a grudge towards each other off the pitch.

United legend Ferdinand, who retired from football during the summer, took to the social media network on Thursday to post a picture of himself during an interview with the City ace.
Alongside the picture the former England defender wrote: ‘Had a few battles with this fella… interview.’
Earlier on Thursday Ferdinand hit out at the style of play his former side have adopted under manager Louis van Gaal since he took over at the club.
'Everything. In terms of players, the personnel are completely different and the way they play. You associate Man United with pace and power, explosive fantasy in the final third, but that's not the way it is now,' he said, speaking at the launch of BT Sport's Champions League coverage in London.
However, there has been no such problems for Toure and his City team-mates so far this season with Manuel Pellegrini’s side sitting top of the Premier League pile.
