A woman - presumably her mother - can be heard in the background saying: 'Don't take it out darling!'.

To which Cara replies: 'I hope it comes out on my birthday,' and her mother agrees, adding: 'Yes, because then you get extra money.'

With major fashion campaigns under her belt, the coolest network of friends and a bulging bank balance, Cara has become one of the world's most successful young models thanks to her good looks.

She has, however, admitted in the past that she thought she looked like a 'weird gremlin' growing up.

The 22-year-old supermodel - who has walked the runway for Chanel and starred in campaigns for Burberry among many others - has revealed she didn't always have confidence in her looks and worried her unique features would hinder her career in the fashion industry.

She said: 'I never thought people would actually want me to be a model. I was a very weird gremlin, awkward-looking child.'

While sporting stunning designer gowns is now all in a day's work for Cara, she hasn't always been interested in putting on pretty dresses and confessed to being a 'big tomboy' in her younger years.

She told The Sun newspaper: 'I was a feral kid, a big tomboy. Beauty wasn't important at all and it still isn't in a way.'

As well as modelling, Cara has been winning plaudits for her acting talents but came under fire when Game Of Thrones star Richard Madden branded her 'unprofessional' over an infamously awkward interview she appeared in earlier this year.

The Scottish actor clearly struck a raw nerve when he said the 23-year-old model-turned-actress had 'showed her age' and came across as being 'ungrateful' during a tense run-in with the hosts of Good Day Sacramento.

The fuming clotheshorse sent an angry message to his Twitter page, saying: 'I have no idea who you are but I think it's little desperate for a grown man to be bad mouthing someone they don't know.'

And she was not finished there, as soon after Cara said: 'If you really want attention that badly, try focusing on your own work and not other people's.'

The Cinderella actor later seemed to backtrack on his original comments, insisting his words were taken out of context.

Writing on his Twitter page, he said: 'Hi @caradelevingne, nothing but respect for you. Misquoted and blown out of proportion.'

The storm hit after it emerged this year that, while promoting her first major role in a movie, Cara gave a very awkward interview while live on Good Day Sacramento.

After the clip of the chat went viral she tried to defend herself and received a lot of support for how she handled the unfortunate turn of events.

But this clearly did not impress Richard, who was disgusted by her 'unprofessional' behaviour, who added she should learn be polite as it's all part of the job.
