Sitting down for a chat with Cooper, 67, and actress Pauley Perrette, James asked if it would be possible to get made over.

Agreeing, and using his very own products, the 67-year-old got to work on James' eyes while Pauley drew lines down the side of Corden's mouth.

Asking the audience's opinion once the glam session was over, James received a host of cheers as Alice asserted: 'That's a good look on you.'

The show also saw James battle it out with crooner Robin Thicke as they offered their cheesiest pick-up lines.

Welcoming Thicke to the stage, Corden asked: 'How good are you at cheesy pick-up lines?'

Surprisingly Robin replied: 'Well I've never been really good at picking up women; especially with pick-up lines.'

Inviting a female audience member, called Stacy, to help judge the competition, the duo took part in a game named 'Lay It On Thick with Robin Thicke'.

Going first, James quipped: 'Do you need to lay down? Because you must be tired, because you've been running through my mind all day'.

But eclipsing Corden, suave Robin joked: 'Hello good evening, do you know by chance what this jacket is made of? Boyfriend material.'

Coming back in charming fashion, the talk show host continued: 'Woah, woah! Your hand looks a little heavy, do you want me to hold it for you?'

Keen to win, Thicke asked: 'Excuse me are you by chance a professional magician? Well because when I look at you everyone in the room disappears.'

As the two went back and forth to impress a very giggly Stacy, Owen Wilson completely threw the challenge when he swooped in and offered her a drink which she gladly accepted and walked off.
